It was almost inevitable that at some point rumours of a Dimitri Payet return to West Ham from Marseille would surface, the only surprse being that they have happened so quickly. Of course given the nature of the 31 year olds departure from the London Stadium the thoughts of him returning seem like wishful thinking, but hey this is the crazy world of top class players being paid a fortune with absolutley no concept or desire to show loyalty for even the shortest of periods to the clubs they sign for.

As we reported back on the 6th of June, Jack Wilshere's move away from Arsenal to West Ham United has been sanctioned by Manuel Pellegrini, and now that head of recruitment Mario Husillos has rubber stamped the deal there is just a bit of toing and froing connected to performance related payments to iron out.
