Reece Oxford has signed a new four and a half year deal worth an initial £20,000 per week on his 18th birthday which keeps him at West Ham until 2021, Manchester United and Manchester City among others were reportedly interested, but Oxford, who has been out with an ankle injury and is yet to make top flight appearance this season, said "I have made my family proud and hopefully I have made the fans proud, I am happy to have signed my new contract. There was a lot of speculation about my future but I am happy that it has been done and I can get back to football. I just want to kick on now.

Is Håvard Nordtveit Really That Bad?

When West Ham United signed the Norwegian International former Arsenal youth player Håvard Nordtveit from Borussia Mönchengladbach it was seen as a bit of a coup, so why has this player been vilified to the extent of being booed as he came on as a substitute against Burnley at Hammer's London Stadium on Wednesday night? Nordtveit has become the target of angry fans much like Jonathan Spector and Christain Dailly were in the past, what are the similarities between this set of players?
