BTC Thank You & Goodnight

Well Sports-fans. It's pretty much nailed on, BTC is playing his last game for West Ham tomorrow afternoon. A player who divides opinion.

Theres no doubting his skill and ability. He's proved this with us and I thank him for it. However, after the initial furore and impact and complete surprise to the pundits. His true colours haven't taken long to surface. Whether this is in conjunction with his selection for the last round of England matches. Or if because now he's a big fish in a small pond.

Nevertheless, his whinging at team mates, gesturing, then most infuriating of all rolling around on the floor like he's been shot. Waiting for someone to kick the ball out of play. So it's all about him. "I'm the star, the game cannot continue without me". Lingards performances have really dropped off as of late. Maybe that's because he thinks "my work here is done" I'm back in the shop window, who's gonna splash the cash on me?

His Social Media days thank god appear to be behind him and I can honestly say I haven't noticed any shenanigans in the media. The squad have embraced BTC it seems, but was that in the early days? I wonder what Nobes and any leadership group present in the dressing room think now?

One things certain. The Jesse Lingard Show is never far from the next hot topic!

Anyway, thank you BTC. It's been a wild ride, something tells me you're going to sign off in style tomorrow though!

Good luck being the Big Time Carlie, wherever you end up next season.....

think it definitely shows the value of taking a player on loan before splashing the cash and ending up with another Haller ,I like every one else thought he was the bee's knees in his first 5-6 games then his effort and speed seemed to drop off ?? but his value shot up and now i think David Moyes would love to sign him but the price will be to high ..Also i hear rumours that Declan may be off to pastures new (hope not) but in these times you can never tell never though Kane would leave the spuds but it happens !!!!

Thought when we moved to the London stadium we was goin to stop being a factory club ,churning out top class players for others to reap the benifits ,we wont get another chance at having a player of his potential at 22 hes allready world class ,though i would never blame him for goin ,it doesn't look like we'll be collecting siver ware any time soon

Your playing every game now after being told your not wanted, Your scoring goals for fun, your back in the England squad. The Manager loves you Your in London and life is fantastic.
Some bastard pinches your watch from the changing room, Man U put a £45m price tag on you. You know your going to be in limbo again going back to Man U to sit on the bench or being used as an exchange player going to who knows where. West Ham can not afford you.
Life is not rosey anymore and your form dips, basically to the same level as the rest of the team and fans begin to moan that your not scoring goals and your a big time charlie. Short memories rings a bell but thats life.
Benrahma, Bowen, and Forlans all have had or are having games with worse form than Lingard imo. So good luck Jesse loved your time here and hope you find a club that wants you.

Why is being a BTC a bad thing? Bloody boring if we were all like Trevor Brooking.
Works bloody hard for a BTC if you ask me.
He doesn't join, we finish about 10th.
Wonderful player who seems to be well liked by the players.
I'd do everything to get him permanently.

Yeah it's a bit harsh in my opinion, you may be right about him in the end but up until now he has done more than enough for the team a few patchy performances aside. Seems to get on really well with declan too so if we can keep them both in the squad might wanna stick around

....sorry what!? We don’t want Lingard because he didn’t have the match winning impact in his last 4 games that he had in his first? Is this a Spurs forum? We sound like Spurs fans. The reality is if we’re lucky enough to get someone of Lingard’s ability and quality roll out the red carpet. What’s also this fixation on how much we pay for players or their wages!? What do we care?
