so no carroll/Valencia/sakho for sundays cup match lets hope emunike doesn't train otherwise who will be playing upfront!.... as for carroll its just not good enough of course he does not get injured on purpose but we cant go yet another season with him spending more time in the treatment room than on the pitch....apparently its an abductor muscle injury picked up against Norwich....much as I hate to say it I think we should cut our losses with him...get him fit and sell him in the summer

Is this what they mean by Andy Carroll on his day is unplayable? How much can we sell him for glue? So no right back and no ready centre forward for the most important game of the season for us , great. Surely kouyate is back this week and apparently Lanzini will probably be on the bench. Plus Reid and sakho should be back in training Monday, why do our injuries all seem to be in the same areas? Emenike probably isn't up to match fit but I'm sure we will have no choice but what is our choice at right back? Think I'd use Oxford and keep Antonio as a threat going forward more so struggling for strikers.

Carroll is fit for the Sunderland game as he only had a minor injury. Some people just need to lay off of him because when fit he is unplayable. He has just been very unlucky with injuries,I would love to see him go through the rest of the season fit and healthy.

A bit early to commit to Carroll playing Saturday Jeff. Where did you read he is fit? As for unplayable well you can say that about loads of players but the true decent ones are unplayable more than once a season. All that means is he had a good game or two. Antonio has only been at the club a few months and has been unplayable more times than Carroll has in three seasons

Winning goals against Chelsea and Liverpool and Southampton. Teams cannot handle him in the air. Its a bonus for us when he is fit and a great shame that he keeps picking up all of these injuries.

Must have sat down too quickly!! You couldn't make it up seriously. This guy's muscle's must have been replaced with playdoh at a young age. And all 4 right backs injured, FFS does someone up there not like us?

Wait is Emenike available? He couldn't be registered for the games vs poo. Was it just for round 4 of the FA or for the whole tournament... It would be so West Ham to field a player who is not registered for the competition.

I think it was just the Poo game that he couldn't play. I am hoping so anyway with fragile Andy injured once more and Valencia crocked with a foot injury. I am assuming Carroll's injury is just a muscle adductor hip problem. If it is any more serious then I would be inclined to let him go at the end of the season. He is costing us big time but we would make a loss to the seller if anyone wants him. So frustrating for him and us.

is long term injuries....with the new tv deal kicking in this summer we should concentrate on getting him fit don't play him and move him on at a loss....having now had a season with us and slav seeing the regular injuries cropping up time and again I am sure he has thought of at least one maybe two strikers to be looked at for next season

Dont want to bore the pants off you but I've said it before, Andy Carroll drinks too much alcohol, eats too much junk food and has been warned by the staff and Bilic about his life style and what it is doing to his body so many times now that just maybe West Ham are thinking about life without him in the team next season.
You are what you eat and drink and his ligaments and bone structure are so fragile you cringe every time he is tackled or comes down to earth after one of his leaps to head the ball
Sad but he is his own worse enemy!

A D Bonds

I don't know enough to know what Carroll eats but I do know enough to say his injury record is certainly not down to bad luck! Obviously sportsmen have to look after themselves as its their living, rumours have suggested he doesn't. Maybe chad well Heath has something to do about it. Maybe his body just physically can't take the strain, whatever the reason his record is too consistent to be seriously considered as bad luck.

Ok, so apparently he could play some part in Saturday's game agst Sunderland. Thoughts on this? Did we rush him back last time? Fun little slide show on the BBC website about Prem players injured the longest since Jan 2013. Only one player out longer than Carroll's 641 days, S. Pinaar with 759. Thought he'd retired!!
So do we risk playing him this weekend or keep him back so we can unleash him on the Spuds the following week, knowing that it's highly unlikely he'd be fit for both games? we've got a minimum 13 games left this season and it should not be too much to ask that he stays fit for the remainder of the season.

When Carroll is concerned I take everything with a pinch of salt. I won't be convinced he will be named this weekend until I see it. I don't see that he was rushed back last time either, having said that if he stays fit for the remainder of the season (which isn't long now, and he won't play every game) I might start to believe there is light at the end of the tunnel. Having said that I'm not betting on it.
