Commercialism or Traditionalism

Watching the various games on youtube this morning i have to say i shake my head in disbelief in some of the kits being banded about i mean i watched the Blunts v Canaries and on what planet is Yellow and Green a colour clash with Red and black? answer none so why were Norwich wearing a purply colour kit? in all my years i have never seen or heard of that colour being associated with the club but their you have it and it is just down to sheer greed and commercialism and it pisses me off...if the kits do not clash then you should play in the clubs traditional colours it is what the fans recognise and want not something that has not a link or any history with the club.

We play Bolton away on Tuesday i will be watching to see if we play in the C&B as it is not a colour clash in any way shape or form.....kit change when it is needed otherwise stop trying to squeeze extra out of fans young ones in the main with kits that have no part in what your club is.

Rant over.

I think it's possibly a through back to the early days of colour TV and the powers that be forgot to change script ,too many other rule changes ,like that fekin delayed flag offside rule, still drives me up the wall.

Well some of them anyway but more in a fashion sense but to counter my argument i will only have the traditional C&B home shirt when i attend the games.

They have to be seen to be wearing, in most cases, all three new shirts!

I recall our third kit in 2016, the very dark blue with Union flag, homage to The TIW. Im pretty sure it was never used in a competitive game and only the Betway Cup first game at the BoM when we played Juventus... I have to say I did like that kit!

I still wear that shirt today Dartford. I think they should go back to Sunday league football. Shirts v skins. Or shirts v shirts turned inside out.

On the Norwich theme Bikey. I played for Horsham in the 80's Isthmian League and had to were a pigging Norwich home kit as they were the colours!!

Just a bit tight now :o)

Funny story - apologies if I shared before...

At that Juve game there was no fan separation in the concourse at the BoM. We have some Juve fans drinking with us by entrance E.

One of them looked like he was in his late 60's sporting a big old tash. My brother said "Thats Causio!". I said never... he was a massive star for Juve and would be with the champagne set in the board room.

Then lots of Juve fans wanted selfies with him... he was rushed away to the main away area before I got my selfie!!!

For the younger folk on line... Franco Causio was the winger that destroyed England in the World Cup qualifiers 1978
