Not gone yet but looks that way but do we need to panic buy in January? i am not so sure...when you look how we coped without him when he was injured we had one of our best spells of the season so why panic...we are not going to get relegated(saying that in January wow)and we do have options upfront so lets wait until the summer i say....look at the way we played yesterday we looked comfortable and with players able to cause problems and create chances for whoever starts up front...Anderson,Nasri,Antonio,Rice,Snodgrass,All comfortable on the ball and able to bring others into the matches and create chances for others....yes i doubt like many that Carroll can last 4 months without picking up another injury Chicarito can fire the goals when he returns from injury perfect time to give the Lad silva some game time in the first team as for Perez well he has no confidence right now so maybe a run for him in the side can help.....we are a side creating chances and have a number of players who are a goal threat not just strikers but from wide positions and midfield so again IMO we should keep our powder dry see the rest of the season out whilst El Pel and his team run the rule over potential replacements for arnie and then make a move in the summer when prices not so over hyped as they currently are...as i write this i notice Callum Wilson is not in the Bournemouth Squad today so moves by chelski or us mmmm who knows i like the player a lot but he has had two bad injuries in recent times and we all no our luck with players like that so for me i would say at £50million errrr no thank you.

I think we do need to replace him - I'm definitely of the opinion of if he wants out then let him go and as you say we coped without him for a couple of games but lets not forget what strength he does bring to the team. He's the type of player who will create goals from nothing and out of nowhere and the one you can rely on to score consistently through tenacity and hard work. We don't have that in Carroll - he's too clumsy and always getting fouled or getting pulled up for fouls and Chico just wants the ball on a plate. We need someone who is gonna grab the game and set the tempo. We need a talisman like Arnie to lift the team and do something special.

It looks like the strike force for next season is going to be a big problem as carroll if kept has to be on a pay as you play deal chicarito a fox in the box but just has not done enough Perez well just not at this level so big money will have to be spent as these kind of players are the most sort after and expensive to get.

I agree there is no need to panic-buy at this stage, but we should only let him go on our terms. If we sell him then we sell for replacement value, which is around 50M. If the Chinese, Mancs, whoever, come up with that kind of money he can go otherwise he stays. If they don't he has two choices, man-up and honour his contract or rot on the bench. The days of being held to ransom by so called stars needs to end.

we can cope short term so i would say leave it until the summer because everyone is going to up the price knowing we need a particular kind of player

January buys are often panic based and you end up with either a high risk high priced average player or a journeyman looking to escape a poisonous club. I would prefer we wait. For the first time in years we are not involved in a relegation scrap so lets give others a chance to shine exactly in the way Arnie got his chance to be the main striker. Im no fan of Perez, as we have little reason to believe he is any good, but maybe a run the team is all that is missing. Noble said recently hes the best finisher in training and some times as a striker you just get over anxious in terms of timing etc etc. he needs a bit of confidence and a run in the team would help. Zaza i think was the same, was a flop for us but the guy is an international with 18 caps for Italy so he cant be all bad.

i think with Antonio up front, just playing behind the striker gives great scoring options. The man is a BEAST with the ball at his feet and defenders struggle to catch him. With the right partner and measured passes from Nasri and Anderson the goals will come!

Im off to Germany for the week, play nicely while Im a way :o)

Had a chat with Robert "Bob the builder" Lewandowski about joining up with Fab... prepared to throw in a new transit van and have the name painted on the side :o)

We have goals all over the pitch now and We do have options other than Arnie to play up front give those players a little confidence they could shine....Give Perez a proper go Carroll does not always mean we have to go long but if dzeko is being considered is he not just another Carroll type? so why waste money on someone we already have.

With Kane injured & Son away on International duty. Could Tottenham come to the Arnie party? Could create a bidding war? But I do believe we need a replacement.

Imo Arnie isn't the same player ever since this transfer speculation reared it's ugly head, watching him against the arse he spent most of his think chasing pass backs to their keeper ,as dicksy says Perez hasn't got it ,chickpea is only goin to get you maybe 10 goals ,in my opinion Carroll is our man if by some miracle he can stay fit
