What are our chances realistically, unless we up our game we could be lookin at a drumming our lack of a threat up front might be our undoing, we'll be lucky to get 0-0 ,i'd love it to be us that puts the final nail in their coffin ,be like winning the cup
we will
be fortunate if they only score 3
can't see us getting a point
It's one thing to play Stoke and hold them (I mean, was Berahino really going to score?). It's another to hold Tottenham. We have been absolutely miserable against top teams all season, and I don't expect it to change Friday. That said, I don't think we'll be played off the pitch. West Ham will put in a solid effort, I think, but still lose 2-0.
a question for you all...
Why do you support West Ham? We are not the best, never have been but they are our club. We are not going to win the Premiership but each season we just find the odd result and Friday COULD be that odd result. The easy option is for me to stay at home on Friday and watch it on the box, I dont need the hassle of a 2 hour journey to Stratford, I dont need the expensive beer in the Bat n Ball and I sure dont need the p*** take from the Spudz on the way home BUT... maybe, just maybe we might get that odd result and oh boy what a night that will be that my glorious hammers nail the coffin that stops the Spudz from winning the title... KEEP THE FAITH!!!!
Dartford, many's the season I've kept the faith
From Pardew to Curbishley to Zola to Grant to Allardyce to Bilic. I've seen times when West Ham had far less talent than they have now when I thought on the day they might beat anyone. But this season is different, and really has been different since the European qualifier fiasco at the start. There just is no TEAM (in my opinion). I'd love to see them go out and graft and maybe nick a point or all three from Tottenham, but I just can't see it happening with the morale, motivation, tactics and personnel we have right now. So I'm not being a fair-weather supporter. I love West Ham and always will. I'm just being honest about this match and this team. I don't even hate 'em -- I'd love to see Bilic be successful. I'd love to see the team win. But this season, with this team, I just don't see it.
Lovely post Ashes, from the
Lovely post Ashes, from the heart! Totally agree this season has been very different and it just feels like we need to fall over the line and stay in the Prem starting a new season, yet again, with optimism :o)
Thanks Dartford.
And you see, you were right! I should have kept the faith. What an incredible victory. The sign in the Black Lion says, "Take Courage" -- I'll try to do that more often now. ;)
Top man Ashes!!!

not looking forward to this
Dartford Bhoy said it all, I'll keep the faith, I'll put me football bet on and I'll be on my own in my local with my colours with about 1/2 dozen Spuds taking the piss for most of the night. The team's on form and I just hope we can upset there run with Chelski, even though I'm still not looking forward to the game .....COYI's
wear that shirt with pride
wear that shirt with pride Bonzo and dont let the Spudz get to you, try and enjoy a nil nil right up to the final minute when we nick a goal totally against the run of play and the rest will be history!!! KTF!!!!

Go to the field and pull out all the Claret & blue pride, play our best match. COYI
Ashes is right this year hasn
Ashes is right this year hasn't been a year we can live in hope. We have also been so far away from ALL the big boys there is nothing whatsoever to suggest we will take anything from Spurs and Liverpool. Having said that, lots of things are typical West Ham and one is that we will upset the applecart when things are bleak. It's also typical West Ham that the fans won't make it easy for Spurs. I'm not predicting a win but it would be so West Ham to do it with someone like nortveldt to score the winner.
good question
Dartford, coming from a little village in Bedfordshire I had no local teem, watch them play in 65 and been a supporter since, through the good and bad (not much good). always supported the underdogs. This season has been a fiasco which seem to start at Watford when we were 2 up. I will be watching on Friday and as you say I dont need the agony, and believe me it will be agony with a capital A. COYI
La Vida we are West Ham, as
La Vida we are West Ham, as my son says (27 years old) he supported them through thin and thin! You are right about the Watford game, I remember high fiving the guy that sits behind me in the TB stand when we went 2 up thinking this was the turning point of our season, how wrong was that! I think that loss was much worse than the drubbing by Arse and Manc City.
I'm not confident but
I think if we're to get anything out of this it will come through pressure by keeping them out, they need to win a draw is a loss to them. Late on they may just make a mistake (which has been us on so many occasions this season) that we can capitalise on. Other than that we won't be able to build pressure because of a lack of options up front, well no options really.
Great call North Bank
How do you know this stuff!
