Hughes saves Southampton from drop

Southampton now saved from relegation, that is worry for us. Theres no doubt whatsoever that Hughes 'Manager of the Century' will keep the saints up, after all in his own powerful, chilling words….'I've never been relegated'.

Yep our little (well not so little) Austrian gem will want to ram a few goals down Hughes throat after the Welshmans comments at the Bet365 earlier in the season!

BUT I wouldn't bet on West Ham in the next match. Southampton (like West Ham) have been badly underperforming. We are so used to teams getting a boost at our expense (Swansea are a great example), that it seems a foregone conclusion. But we need the points so very badly.

Absolute bare minimum 4 points,if not i reckon we are down cos i cant see us getting anything from the rest of the games...oh apart from everton last game,mmm!!

It said a lot "this next game is so important "well not only this game ,its down to the first goal ,who ever gets it ,for us its vital ,first one against us would unleash thoughts of Burnley and yet another 3 goal capitulation

I reckon we need eight points from eight games to be safe. There are four zeros on the horizon so the way I see it we HAVE to beat both Southampton and Stoke, then pick up a point at Leicester and home to Everton, otherwise it's Championship football for us. If we can't do that then we don't deserve to stay up.

One game in,and he get's saints into the semi final,couldn't make it up,and beating wigan what we failed to do,lets hope that's the honeymoon period over with,this game with us is personal imo lol

Are these players of ours up for the fight?mmm hope im proved wrong!Apparently there maybe a static protest (& thats not just our players!!)outside the bowl of misery against the saints also,so if we dont get out of the blocks sharpish from the kick off it could all get messy again...oh to be a hammer eh!!

Personally I think these players don't have any real fight and that's why we are doomed. Doomed I say. Apart from a couple we probably have more players not prepared to fight than anyone else.
