Leaders do we have any?

What struck me most last night whilst at the match was how we seem to lack leadership on and off the pitch i look at Moyes he hardly inspires and sadly Declan may be Captain but that is in name only he was not giving players a verbal volley for not closing down or getting stuck in he was not urging more from his teammates no for me he looks like the kid in the playground enjoying playing in a game but not responsible for anything else.Looking at the squad who really is a leader one other players respect and will listen to during the game?.Fabs a gk as a captain does not work for me Zouma does not have the presence Cressy Coufal a no Lanzini Benny Fornals Bowen no the only one for me is Dawson and he will be leaving today i think so quite the rudderless ship at the moment.

Noble should be on staff and on the sideline he can gee the players up and dig them out when needed he has there respect and clearly knows whats what during a game on the pitch as i say leadership cannot be taught you are either born with it or not.As an aside to that look at the current state of those who would be our next PM they hardly inspire and again certainly not leaders we all know one when we see one.

He's still only 23 and I believe Noble is still mentoring him. Bobby Moore was captaining England at that age and wasn't one of the most vociferous captains preferring to lead by example. I personally saw Rice doing a fair bit of encouragement (as opposed to verbal volleys).

Did moyes give him a rocket at half time.Deluded has a good point Rice is only 23 but Dawson would be my captain! A few rumours about that he is unhappy at not getting a move, maybe personal reasons?

And the substitutions bucked things up a bit too It's my opinion that Tottenham were there for the taking and maybe if Moyes had been more adventurous we could have won the game. Dawson is an enigma, I agree he would be an excellent captain, indeed if I were manager he would be first name on the teamsheet. Can't see it happening under Moyes, his unhealthy obsession with defenders continues to defy the reasoning that scoring goals is our biggest issue. Kehrer, Emerson, Aguerd, Ogbonna, Zouma, well we certainly ain't gonna run out at the back. We all hope that Scamacca can deliver but will he hack the Premier League, will he be the next Haller, the round peg in a square hole. Where is his service going to come from, Is Moyes even going to start him ffs!
Chelsea up next. They are there for the taking in my opinion. Best form of defence is?

But the lads got to be given a bit of time....As deluded eluded(see that i'm a poet)to the Great Bobby Moore you dont have to be vocal to be a captain you lead by example and i think that would be a better route for Rice to follow.

its a hard and difficult decision as to who has the verbal and respect of the players to be captain Declan will get there so we have got to be patient and if it was taken away from him at this time would it knock his confidence and interfere with his performance's .it is an awkward conundrum but there should be 11 captains on the pitch all giving their all and bellowing orders at each other

I thought Rice played well the other night, back to himself, yes he is young, which needs to be taken into account, and i do feel he is committed to us regardless of all the move hype, still feel also we wouldnt get the silly money now that was banded about for him,but then if he shines again like he did,who knows,he still has many years ahead of him.

and all the others spirit rise when Pac-Man came on and I think that will be the difference with our team. I don’t expect Packy to start the game and I think it will be about not conceding in the first half trying to nick one but when he comes on then it will change and go for the juggler. Can’t still believe he joined us and for me the window was what we have been crying out for.
