Not many loyal professionals around these days and a fitting tribute to a local boy in our final season at Upton Park. I will be going without a doubt and if any of you lot on here fancy meeting for a pint before the game then please shout.
Pleased for Mark
Clearly loves the club like we all do and I for one am pleased that he has been rewarded with this Testimonial. He always provides plenty of debating amongst us fans with regard the role he should or shouldn't play in our team but for me I always love seeing a few home grown players in the match day squad. How long he can command a regular starting place as we hopefully continue to improve the quality of the squad is debatable but for now Captain Noble deserves his place in our team.
The testimonial soon to be a
The testimonial soon to be a thing of the past, for that reason only well deserved by mark noble. All proceeds go to charity. Would have thought the common sense time to do it would be end of season. Say goodbye to the old ground for the fans and just as importantly NO INJURIES!
3 Good charities benefiting
3 Good charities benefiting but yes the days where it helped out a players pension are long gone Red Neck!
End of season might be a bit awkward for all those West Ham players heading off to the Euro's ;-)
Good for him
Pleased for the lad...I remember going to Tony Carr's testimonial a cracking night even though it was a bit tippy toey...and like you said RNI soon be a thing of the past, in todays football a testimonial is as rare as rocking horse shite...
in football today
in football today there are no almost more players symbol. Those who really love their club. Noble has this club in the heart as all of us. I'm happy for him.
Bumped into Noble this afternoon
and he is overjoyed at being given the Testimonial game after 13 years at the club he loves. Stood chatting for a while and gave anyone that stopped the time of day, old school proper player.
Which makes you wonder why so
Which makes you wonder why so many people would be happy to see him leave the club
