Stubborn stubborn stubborn that is Moyes for you he refuses to buy anyone unless they improve the squad thats fair enough but to claim that there was just nobody available was laughable and as everything goes tits up for us you read the pathetic news we tried a £50million bid for Nunez followed by only reason it did not happen was the paperwork could not be done in time making it impossible and the same with Kalvin Phillips and Raphina why would Leeds sell in a dogfight.
My point being as Lingard has learnt when your stock is high thats when you make your move not a wait n see policy.....we were in europe we were playing attractive football the media for once were loving us and the way we played but for some reason and i cannot quite put my finger on it but for some reason we just ground to a halt on all fronts and sadly a season of promise has fizzled out faded and died etc etc.
Europa conference next season who knows or cares to be honest and thats not snobbery on my account i just fail to see the point of us playing European football if Moyes persists in such a small squad we will hear the usual refrain about tired players and all that waffle.
Injuries yes they have played there part but no club is immune from that its part of football life but so heres that dreaded phrase..Lessons Will be Learned...we can but hope and pray they are but this summer all i can see is a bunch of Everton cast offs being linked and most likely bought and the decent players the top four not interested in well the barcodes will be sweeping those up.
We had a chance a real chance to do and be something other than the West Ham we all know but sadly we will just go back to being a midtable side at best but now Bowen/Rice had a taste of European football it could well be a disastrous summer for the club.
We need a good clean out,
Players that obviously Moyes doesn’t have faith in and probably bought in by the dildos are not getting a go so get rid of and get players that Moyes wants and will play.
Too many over rated players
Souscek ( wtf has happened to him this season) benny - it just isn't happening,Lanzini another one gone completely off the boil, cress ( less said the better),fornals ( jury's out) add to that the ones who will defo go - fredericks, yarmo, mas, kral, vlasic,we need a total rebuild
Moyes Appeasing Rice
Thats what has happened to Soucek it cannot be a coincidence that the Games Rice did not play we saw Soucek back to his old self 65...Now i am not having a go at Rice saying he demands a more prominent role etc he does not strike me as that kind of player but with Moyes so desperate to keep him he has tried to get Soucek to sit deep not go as forward as much and the exact reverse for Rice.....now neither have been great in either role in my opinion but Moyes will not hit the reset button.....and if he does feel tempted to sell Soucek he would be stupid Spuds want him and rate at £40million Juventus the same thats must tell you something surely?.
OR
Get a manager in who knows how to utilise these players. Lets face it. We're seeing nothing different to a Everton or Man Utd team managed by Moyes
But
in europe like manure with Moyes unlike fat sam fighting relegation and flogging our youth and in europe AGAIN
We need many areas sorting
We need many areas sorting, but a striker is a must please!!!......If we go all summer into next season and no money spent with the same team,im sure there will be demonstrations, surely that cant happen,Sugo and the Czech bloke have got to dig deep this year,or pack up and go!!!!!
A striker you say essex
Thats come out of left field mate....or is that a Left sided midfielder/winger Moyes can turn into a striker because CLEARLY there are none out there.
I think 65 hit the nail on
I think 65 hit the nail on the head ,too many that are not up to it anymore ,the trouble with us is we refuse to see reality, too many of them who because we had such a marvellous start to the season seem to have gained a reputation as class acts when their only just mediocre at best ,65 mentioned them ,souchec ,god only knows what happened to him ,he looks to me to be right out of puff ,seems to have lost a lot of weight, the scum £ 40 mill ?, yes please ,fourcandles ,cant criticize his heart ,he'd run all day ,its his skill factor thats worrying, Lanz ? Very inconsistent ,had a great partenership with Payet when he was hear ,Benny ?, bit like Lanz ,never given a long enough run .
But the real worry has got to be Ant ,i remember the beginning when he started tucking away real beauty's ,everyone was saying god help us if he sustains a long term injury ,asked for and was given the number 9 shirt and we all thought all our striker problems are over ,then ,suddenly went tits up ,ive got to say i feel emencely sorry for him ,its got to be mind boggeling for him .
Some of the other comments like Moyes being stuborn ,i agree but you have to remember he's a traditionalist, a conservative and he aint gunna change now
look at our bench at the citeh game
Fredericks...Kral...Noble...Yarmalenko...Masuaku......all not with us next season i would add to that Vlasic what a waste of money there unless Moyes works his magic that has thus far failed Lanzini as much as i love him i think it is time to let him go as for Benny well he is a flat track bully IMO good against the weaker sides when the going gets tough he tends to hide...i really think he needs to work with Bowen and take on board that players incredible work ethic and attitude maybe then Benny will prove to be the player he is but clearly not shown enough of this season.
Agree again Mac
Benny has got immense talent, but does go missing & is lightweight, needs to take a leaf out of bowens book & try harder....I would keep Benrahma but he needs a moyes rocket up his jacksy
I think the OP is a little
I think the OP is a little harsh, one of the few sides that invested in January was Newcastle who will now throw money around like confetti. Lingard was not allowed to leave Man U due to the Greenwood situation for one, a bid for Raphina and Philips .. well Leeds as stated would be reluctant to part with arguably their two best players, the summer is a different matter and I have no doubt that the wish list has been drawn up but we will see, The last time the wallet was open and early doors was when Pellegrini was in charge and that turned out well! If DM can recruit players that are the right fit then I see us having another decent season ahead, regards trophies yes it looks like Europa Conference but I am sure if we lifted that trophy we would all be cheering from the rooftops, christ I would be over the moon if we won the EFL Cup! Create a habit and in the last two seasons spirit has carried us along add a few worthwhile recruits to that and we'll be ok, one thing for certain is I don't want another Hugill!
