Last week of the window and i expect a flurry of activity from various clubs but player valuations are all over the shop with clubs and agents over inflating prices so you have to tread carefully....Just read this morning that the first striker we were linked to this window Samu Omorodion was wanted for £35million+ well we were looking at other targets for that money and so Chelski came knocking and were on the verge of a £33million+ deal for the player but the deal fell through and here we are a week or more on and the player has signed for Porto at a cost of £12.7million! funny eh...Clearly premier league clubs are seen as the money makers for many in Europe and the players agents hence the inflated price and wages so whilst we may be in need of a striker with a bit more pace about him than Antonio and Fullkrug possess at those prices i think we have to make do unless Tim dives deep to find a pearl at a reasonable price.

Good spot Mcbike just goes to show how all the premier teams are ripped off and also why players never seem to match the price we pay for them ,should be an interesting last week of action

Fairish comment, but the problem is you send them out for a quality striker with a wad of cash and they come back with a mediocre one, 3 defenders, and 2 midfielders you didn't want or need!!!

Season long loan to Forest...makes sense if he does good then he becomes much more attractive in the Transfer window next summer...Cornet to Southampton same kind of deal...funny one this as i expected far more from the player but sodding off to get his injury sorted by his own medical team and thus causing the fallout with Moyes he just never really settled from the moment he came through the door...Ings again to Southampton? i hope he takes it not because he is a bad player but our style never suited him and he deserves to play games and he will score at least ten if started regularly IMO.

Of Zouma gone, or Ings for that matter. Strange old window, some of the comings and goings don't make a lot of sense too me. Certainly the books don't balance, the costs of our newcomers far exceeds our sales, poor old Sullivan must be crying to sleep at nights.
Surprised to see Aguerd go and sorry for JWP too, another player totally destroyed by Moyes. Started off so well, with calls from all angles to be included in the England team only to end up a shadow of himself. Admittedly I said at the time I didn't think he was a great signing, preferring Maddison myself but still would have kept him on which makes the signing of Soler seem a bit pointless.
I do see a positive. We now have a squad. Anyone not on their game now has a credible alternative breathing down their shoulder. With Cresswell out now for some time, lets hope nothing happpens to Emerson to continue our LB bogey problems.
