Should the Alarm bells be ringing?

Yes, it was only friendly. Yes, there are still 2 weeks to the season starts. But with lack of new arrivals to our wafer thin squad and the performance against Rangers & generally lack of goals (still). Should we be thinking about hitting the panic button?
It was common knowledge we needed around 10 new additions this summer way back in January. We need help all over the park. We need to pull the trigger & bite the bullet to get some of these deals over the line. Regarding Lingard. As much as I want him to sign, he needs to be told to sign now or forget us. He is way short of being match fit and would not be ready for the start of the season. As for a striker. Don't let Chelsea mess around with Broja. Move on & quickly. Apparently a bid has been accepted for Scammacca (spelling). Push it through. Or is Moyes the problem? I read he wants Broja & Newman identitified Scammacca. Because Antonio is not the answer. He is unreliable with fitness and not prolific enough. Too cold than hot. Creswell at Left Back. Thank you for your service but you can't cut it anymore.
Everyone knows what was needed. We need now to get the players settled and ready. Every other club seem to be filling their boots. Our nearest competition Arsenal, Tottenham & Man Utd have gone about their business and got things done. Tottenham have done exceedingly well. We had the chance in January and the club failed to take the opportunity to push on & ultimately costing us a Europa League Trophy & qualification for the same tournament again. We are in a position to threaten the top 6. FFS get deals done as we are teetering on the slippery slope.

as for gooners manure spuds our competition lol we all no its palace southampton and brighton...next level my arse.....nothing changes throw out some alledged bids for names make it look like we are acting like a big club but truth is we still look for freebies and crocks other clubs try to offload....said it before say it again we are going to be midtable at best this season....to many players still required and like you say Enfield then they have to get match fit and bedded in it is truly pathetic.

Thats the frustrating part HG,what could be the problem, the management structure,David Moyes,or the club as a whole,we have never found it easy to recruit, but this year seems harder still.

Personally I think the problem is Moyes. As much as the board like keeping their money. They don't like the hatred directed at them. I think Moyes has his players in mind and it's his way or no way. Imagine if we don't bring in a Striker or Left back.

Exactly Enfield, last season there was a big hole in the final third,we scraped by in many games, and was lucky to finish where we did,it wont be like it this season we will be struggling from the off if no striker is brought in.

I think it’s definitely a worry that West Ham have not really strengthened so far and it seems to take an age to negotiate deals, I actually think Moyes will be hugely frustrated, i think he has identified players and Sullivan is doing the financial negotiating/ bartering.
We all know what West Ham need, Antonio is past his best if he ever had one and is injury prone, not helped either by his sudden urge to play for Jamaica and travel halfway around the world to play games. I can only imagine that Rice and Bowen are thinking this is their last season because West Ham are showing zero ambition to improve. I think they have over achieved these past couple of seasons and if they have a bad start I can see West Ham struggling this season.

I hate to say it but i think Antonio is past his best, gets the ball and just lashes at it,the ball goes anywhere, and hopes to hit the target.
