Time for the Board to show not tell

season is coming to an end. All being well, we will survive. I think the point at Chelsea and Moyes' know how will see us stay up this season. But its not been good, not at all. I do believe Bilic would have gotten us relegated for sure, so the change was a good decision by the board but apart from that there's little else to thank them for. So come the summer, it will be a defining moment. If Moyes stays or goes, whoever is manager…..they will need backing in the transfer market. If they terminate Moyes, Id be very wary that they plan to bring in a yes man who they can continue to tell what to do and still control the buying of players. If Moyes stays, he will want players and money will need to be spent. Mario is an interesting one in this. The board's intent will be clear by the decision to buy Mario or to pass. The loan deal as i understand it gives us first refusal providing we stump up the fee. Now, if he had failed, no one would blink an eye when they don't sign him, however he's been excellent, he's oozed quality and his work rate can't be faulted either. he's exactly the sort of player needed to 'move the club' forward, in short he is quality. So I'm watching this space on Mario because i suspect it will tell us a lot about the boards intentions.

To many false dawns by this board so will wait and see if they actually do change....If they do the squad needs major surgery and a lot of money spent on it and I still cannot see this particular leopard changing its spots....I can already hear about how hard it is to do business with the world cup going on etc....as for Mario I am not so sure myself he looks a bit lightweight to me but hey that was said about lanzini and look what a player he has turned out to be.

Stupid thing is Mario IS probably worth 25 mill in this day and age in England. There are plenty of 25 million players worse than him in the prem. the fact we will be looking for world beaters for that money shows the idiots the board are.

We need to keep: Arnautovic, Lanzini, Mario, Masuaku, Cresswell, Rice. Every other place is up for grabs. (Actually, I'd keep Zabaleta one more season, too -- he's done what's been asked and still has a bit of quality in him.) Would LOVE to take Jack Butland from Stoke -- it would totally solve our keeper problem. Need a holding midfielder who can pull the strings -- won't come cheap -- and one or two more strikers depending on what happens with Chicharito and Carroll.

Maybe we underestimate the Porn Twins? Getting rid of Bilic, bring in Moyes, stay up but able to boot out Marmite Boy at the end of the season and bring in a fresh faced young thing????
