So you think noble and jelavic are bad, well this lot make them look like cruyff and pele. It's so easy to forget our history but refreshing my memories we have had some awful awful players at the club! For this reason alone I don't think people of my era were ever plastic fans. Anyway cast your minds back since the seventies who would your worst players ever be? I'm looking for nominations and any stories that go with them. Then we will decide our worst ever team. Let's start with goalkeeper, right back, left back and 2 centre halves

I can't have Carlton I'm afraid, far to good for this team there must be at least another 20 we have had worse than him up front.

right back - Jonathan Spector, Center halves - Jonathan Spector, left back - Jonathan Spector. Diabolical, shambles, amateurish lots of words come to my mind when think of this man. Don't start with he scored 2 against the Mancs's second team. He was the worst footballer at West Ham I have seen... defensively , few midfield/forward players were just as bad as him it;'s just they played less game thankfully.

Kenny brown right back? Wayne Quinn a player so bad he had to retire from professional football at the grand old age of 28 because no one would take him. Mitchell Thomas?

Kenny brown goes down in history for scoring the goal that beat manure 1-0..already relegated nothing to play for yet that night under the lights fergie got yet another defeat at the Boleyn....he was really pissed off calling our display disgusting or some such thing...still have the pic from the paper showing him scoring....typical west ham rubbish all season but when manure in town we turn it on and bam....lol

Goalkeeper

Perry Suckling: Where do you go after letting in nine goals? Into West Ham’s team. Following Crystal Palace’s heaviest ever defeat, at Liverpool in 1989, Lou Macari took a gamble on him and he was dreadful. He only played six games. Why oh why do we do it. In fact why did we appoint Lou macaroni as manager ?

in cup game down at Wimbledon we drew 1-1 how I don't no because as you rightly put it R.N.I he was a knightmare!! could not catch a ball punch a ball or kick it...and then we had the LAMA yet another keeper who well to me anyway every time the ball came near our goal I closed my eyes and scream like a big girl it was that scary lol

As bad as all the other keepers mentioned were the worst has got to be Sasa Ilic! Played for us just once in 2000 and was at fault for all of the goals in that game when Everton thumped us 4-0 at the Boleyn!

Davenport wasn't a bad player in the few games he played for us. Ilunga is a strange one, how someone can look so different after 1 season is beyond me

Charles was a good player, we made a bad buy, we bought him when he was prone to injury and being let go by his previous clubs.

Some corkers there harry,i like the beauchamp one lol, never played a single competitive game for us,because the travel from oxford to london was to much for him, bless! and boogers four appearances from the bench, no goals and a red card, and banned for 4 matches, old arry never see him live and bought him on the strength of a video ,goes down as one of the worst strikers in the history of the Premier League, fantastic stuff guffaw!

I played against him and then with him for Essex County Youth U16 and he was a very good player, we got him at the wrong time when he was spiralling downwards and he had started losing discipline and drinking.

Omg bill green! Now this is what I'm talking about! Just reminded me Gary Breen. Gary Charles not a bad one ( by not a bad one I mean of course not a bad suggestion)

I never much rated Paul Brush or Kevin Lock to be honest, mistakes were never very far away.
l know that Mervyn Day was a decent goalkeeper and looked an excellent prospect but towards the end of his career he was another one prone to gaffs....Nothing on McKnight though.
Bill Green is another good shout by the way!

But the one who got my hackles rising was Calamity James. Mcknight and Death were obvious candidates I suppose.Defence has to be between Dailly, Breen, Paul Hilton, Mick McGiven take your pick. Alan Dickens was my all time pet hate. Quite how he played so many games for so long is as baffling as Carlton Cole.

We actually had a goalie called Stephen death who played 1 game for us in the 60's but not sure he was referring to that

I remember seeing Death play for Reading a few years after against Swansea City at the old Vetch....I'm sure Robin Friday played that day as well.
As far as I can recall he was a decent keeper.

Mido. You know you have problems when a player signs and is only paid £1,000-a-week and accepts it. Nine games, no goals and a penalty miss. Thanks Mido, we’ll miss you.Guffaw!

Harry, who was that Argentinian left back signed on the last day of one of the transfer windows by gold and Sullivan think he only played a couple then disappeared.

I know the player you mean Harry but not the one I'm talking about. Think the one I'm talking about was called something like Lopez? Never played in the prem before or after his minimal stint with us!

We had Lionel scaloni on loan ? But that was before gold and sullivan. And a Uruguayan called Walter Lopez but that was the season before g & s took over I thought

If people here are mentioning strikers I'd vote for the one and only Sandy Clark...What a clunker!
John Radford was well past it as well..
