Yep glad fernandes is starting. Thought feg injected a bit of pace into the games last time out, but maybe Slav thinks snodgrass will work harder.once again bit worried about fonte and Collins having no pace up against the mobility of Defoe. I expect Sunderland to exploit this more than Swansea did. We got away with it against swans as they didn't pressure our centre halves

Looked like Randolph was impeded on the line but he showed no effort to try and come for the cross - He was stuck on the line.
We looked great up until the equalizer but we threw the initiative to the home side.
In amongst this, Ayew missed a sitter and the same player was down injured when the half time whistle went.

Again there doesn't seem to be a lot of heart ,ive noticed lately any team we play its as if they've got 14 men out ,we have far to many weak links ,we'll do well to get anything here

Burkie 1

We started well and looked great on the break but unlike last year once we concede, we don't knuckle down and invite the opposition onto us.
Be interesting to see how we start the second half, if I was Slav I'd tell them to go at them from the whistle.

but this is being set up for Defoe to score the winner against us. God I hope I'm wrong. We have to win this, if we don't the players out to hang up their boots as they don't deserve to wear our kit. Adrian has to be looked at for the next game as Randolph is making to many bad errors lately.

Can't defend Randolph for the second goal he definately lost us 2 points. We went to sh1t after the injury. Randolph wasn't a fault for the first tho. It was either a foul on him or a bad piece of defending by the ginger pele. He got himself in totally the wrong position, not goal side or protecting his own keeper! Byram did well until his stupid sending off! Fonte and masaku did well to. Anyone blaming Randolph for the first is just using it as a scapegoat. The 2 Nd was schoolboy tho at a time the game was going no where for them.

Sorry disagree the first one was 100% his fault. Never a foul. Look at randolph, he just stands there anichebe didnt back in to him Randolph was just weak as usual.

Even at my level I was always taught as a defender you have to look at protecting your keeper if he is being intimidated by a forward. Allowing the keeper to concentrate solely on dealing with the cross. The camera from behind showed ginge consider doing exactly that but being caught in 2 minds then opted to attack the ball because he hadn't got himself in the right position early enough. He was caught not doing either properly, it looked like ginge knew he made the wrong call.

I agree the defence has to be stronger, but if Adrian is in goal do you think that wouldve happened? Because I dont as he communicates with his defence. He should also be instructing someone to be on the back post. Even then he was weak as anything.

I agree there should always be someone on the back post, I also Agree that a keeper needs good communication with defenders. As an defender myself I have to wonder IF the defenders have lost confidence in Randolph? Are they trying to anticipate what will happen when it gets to the keeper? Leading them to do things that they wouldn't normally do under a keeper they trusted? A defence as a whole would play better with a keeper they felt more comfortable with, even if that keeper did very little.

I can see that. Notice how we had players on the line the instant randolph came out for the ball. No trust that he was gonna keep it in his hands. The mental thing is for all adrians supposed faults. When he was in the team we werent getting battered and it was more a struggle to score goals .Randolph has had the benefit of a full strength west ham team whereas Adrian has not and he had to play through the payet situation unlike randolph. The issue is in reality Adrian became a scapegoat because hes eccentric. Like everyone was saying how poor Adrian is at coming for crosses and how good randolph is at coming for them yet apart from stoke i dont remember Adrian ever costing us points from crosses. Majority of the time he had a good sense on whether to punch of catch

Randolph needs replacing asap, both goals can be put down to bloody awful goalkeeping. I don't know what Bilic problem is with Adrian but he needs to fix it quick.

Absolutely fkg disgraceful how we threw those two points away.
Take the keepers mistake out of it, we are playing as though we are safe already...The complete lack of urgency is astounding.

Yeah that's true bobby.
Always knew that this season was going to be tough, no delusions of grandeur from me I can tell you but there's a serious lack of confidence running throughout this side.

In the last 15 mins we were just hacking the ball anywhere in a blind panic. Even to their centre halves with no one even there to pick it up! Bloody ridiculous.

I hope 37 points are enough to stay up, because I don't see any more coming our way this season. That was a howler from Randolph.

Randolph defo at fault for their second, his times up!!Byram has got talent, but hes a hot head im afraid, gets stupidly sent off & its squeaky bum time at the end (as usual)...
We should have enough points to stay up but 5 games to go & there are no more easy games left, saying that the mackems havnt scored since january & they put 2 past us!!

Everton, Stoke, Tottenham, Liverpool, Burnley. Maybe 1 point at Turf Moor, but I wouldn't count on it. Swansea have Stoke, Manchester United, Hull, Sunderland, and West Brom. They can win two of those, but they need three wins and a draw to pass us. Still, they are at home on the last day of the season, and winning their last 3 wouldn't be impossible.

What the hell are we doing as a team? Once again dropping points when we are leading. Just to clarify, yes Anichebe was backing into Randolph and that is a 50:50 foul although the commentators were insisting that West Ham should have defenders protecting Randolph. I have seen fouls been given for a lot less infringement on keepers. The second goal was definitely a gaffe by Randolph. Apart from that Sunderland played with a lot more spirit in the way they were closing down the Hammers. This is a game that the Hammers should have thrown the kitchen sink at Sunderland and strolled away with 3 points. Yes there are very tricky matches ahead and Byram will be joining the list of players that wont be available. He has to mature in his attitude, as he gets carded for the most cynical of tackles. Collins, Fonte and to a certain extent Ayew are three players who stood out. Fernandes seems a better fit than Noble and can only grow as he gets more playing time. Lanzini was good in spurts, although he is capable of a better performance. Sunderland brought just one save from Randolph and scored two goals. We brought zero saves from the Sunderland keeper but scored two goals that their keeper had no chances of saving either. But Bilic should try to spur on the team to score more goals rather than shutting shop. We are conceding too many goals when we take the lead. Fletcher needs to be partner Carroll up front so he can add some pace and trouble the defenders. Why bring on Callieri when you know that he wont contribute much? Overall poor substitutions as I would have even taken off Randolph and brought on Adrian. Well the Everton game is going to be a very stressful one for us. Can we go against the trend, prevent Lukaku from scoring and even take all three points?

We need a new keeper, and kasper smicheal is the perfect fit. Forget hart. Stop p1ssing about getting punts get in 5 players that will walk straight into our side next season because we just don't look a real team compared to lesser clubs than us. Bilic can't improve the players so if they hold on to him then we have to buy. Personally I think we have become the biggest laughing stock of the season on and off the pitch. This has to stop!

Thing is mate, i look at our squad and its a good squad. Good enough to finish anywhere between 7th and 10th. The issue is bilic. Poor tactics worse stubborness then BFS. Nobody will convince me that there isnt a HUGE coaching problem. We look unfit and bereft of ideas. Now before people go on about the supposed 'lack of investment' There was plenty of investment. Weve signed champions league players a euro winner i know it was hull but Snodgrass was on fire for them. Ayew was considered better than payet 2 years ago. Tore was highly regarded in turkey, fletcher was considered a better prospect then rashford at united. Then our current players, hes mucked antonio about, Kouyate has become lazy and useless we dont own a proper right back, hes dropped Adrian for making 1 major error and keot randolph in for making 10. Bilic needs to go. Get someone young and fresh in.

Teams like the one we just faced, when you look at their side, deserve to go down. Ours, when you look at it, should be at least somewhere between Watford and WBA. Any team that that coasts into 15th-17th needs to take a hard look at itself: when Newcastle and Brighton come up next season, they are not looking to go right back down. If West Ham are not hugely successful in transfers this next time around, we will be in Sunderland's spot this time next season. But for a bit of luck, we'd be there right now.

I do agree that a fair bit of our on field problems come from bilic and his crew being poor, but are we gonna get rid? For me it's a no brainier, but IF they do then it's very important they get the RIGHT man who can get more from these players and get us working like a team. Even the teams around us in the league play more like a team than we do. Watford, hull, Leica, Bournemouth, burnley soton. All teams playing better as a team generally. I'd prefer my manager to improve my players, bring along some of our youngsters and get us organised and well drilled. If we can get a manager who can do that and entertain we won't need to buy as many players. As for off field Daves and Brady need to take a long hard look at themselves and reevaluate the way they run things or admit they aren't up to it.
