Henry Onyekuru i am sure you have all seen the reports and rumours and how we could get him for £7million but guess what the goalposts have moved and it appears to clubs outside of Belgium its £9million still not a lot in prem league terms but when you also find out he may fail to gain a work permit i have to ask would the money not be better spent nearer home...yes you all know the player i like and £9million would get him easy and wages like Antonio started with of £35grand will be perfect for us....the championship easily equals the belgian league IMO so why not take a risk here than overseas on a player where the transfer issue changes daily it seems.....

Do we get him for £7M? No. £7.5M -- triggering the escape clause? No. Apparently only valid in Belgium. £9M Maybe, but he might not get a work permit. Does he get a work permit? Won't know for several weeks, months ... And this deal for Onyekuru is, after all, a punt, even at £9M. When Pickford is worth £30M, these "little" deals cannot be anything more than a gamble. And if Assombalonga is also a gamble (I assume that's who you mean in place of Onyekuru), at least there's one hurdle (the work permit) we wouldn't have to jump. But surely West Ham could afford to pursue BOTH, no???

would agree with you mate...why look to the exotic overseas option when there is talent to be had here...

Oi big boy, what's your name?

I'm surprised Sullivan has bought him just for the extra revenue of the letter. After all he does want a big name striker and assombalonga is one of the biggest.

Apparently they will loan him out immediately to Anderlecht -- they consider him "one for the future".
