Moyes..all talk and no product?

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on Wed, 22/11/2017 - 08:15

moyes has been talking himself up a lot since he arrived. all this 'i don't want to talk about everton' and yet constantly talking about everton….its a bit like mourinho saying he doesnt talk about injuries and then going on and on about injuries. kinda like someone who says 'no offence' and then goes on to offend. anyway, looking at the set up against watford i can see better organisation defensively. the back 4 looked better imo than anything under bilic this season. but we mustered nothing in terms of attack. carroll was up there on his own and the midfield 5 was basically there to do an allardyce. my concern is that moyes is so hellbent on sorting out the defence and making us 'hard to beat' that we will continue to offer nothing going forward. even at 2 down he didnt want to put two up front. I'm beginning to think that he may have been talking the talk but that he's past it now and even his 'everton' system is outdated. the only sad consolation if he fails will be to teach the board a lesson. id say relegation might be a good thing i.e. the usual clear out and rebuild but we've not got a stadium to fall back on this time and also we been there done that and ended up worse. the only way this club will get sorted imo is if the board go and someone takes over like at newcastle or even someone with more sense and understanding on how to run a club. reading allardyce (who himself carries a whiff of dodgy dealings with him) and how he says Sully lets his son play with the club as if its his toy, making stupid remarks online and getting involved in personal attacks on players….its just embarrassing. when you look at them in the stands, looking down on the 'peasants' who pay to watch the drivel served up each week and the final whistle goes and off they go back to the limo for 5 start dining and home to the mansion….they just look deluded. why not give the fans something? why not appoint Dyche who i think we may have got since everton don't want him, or bring in someone who's style suits the club more….Betty is right, Moyes and his brand of football is not going to change….those who pay are going to suffer this 'hard to beat', one up front stuff till the end of the season now and even then we will probably go down because moyes has been there and done that with sunderland. i had some slight optimism, just that maybe moyes with his new talk and positivity would offer a lot more in sense of all round team play. yes its early, but can anyone see his style morphing into something more than get it wide and put it into the box?

That we might have been in better shape defensively, but overall i see nothing different,i want moyes to succeed but hes bigged himself up too much & is on a hiding to nothing imo....one person who did try i thought was arnie,he should have scored but for their keepers heroics.Hes got it in his locker, but unfortunately goes missing too much imo.Look at the next few games leicester, everton, then chelsea, arsenal & citeh.its going to take a miracle to get any points from these games...& you will have the board sitting there smugly but knowing f*ck all what to do!!

Dicksy, you got that opinion on moyes after one game? Now that is knee jerk. Ok we are all very p1ssed of but give the guy a chance! And direct it at the right people. Board and possibly players.

The prob is that so much damage has been done in the last 12 months that we now need to become hard to beat . the whole place is a mess and needs to be sorted out and that has to start at the back. as much as people may not like it clean sheets are now important and once the defence is functional and a solid unit we can then start to expand.
Moyes has been in the job for 5 minutes which is nowhere near enough tim to sort out the mess hes inherited so patience is the key here.
Stop conceding, stay solid and where neccesary play ugly, be hard to beat and hard to play against then open things up.

Don't want to hear anymore big talk, want to see results, that goes for the manager and players.
Obiang: “We need time to understand better what Moyes wants and we have to work more to be fit. to do what he wants.....need time lol when will they understand it it will be too late.
How about the players understanding what the fans want which is 100% commitment and being proud of wearing the West Ham Shirt. No hiding place for players anymore you are all very fortunate to be in such a well paid career so tell the others to respect us and do it for us on Fri ,cheers!

Moyes and the players have said their bit so I hope they go quietly about their business. As for the board I heard there is gonna a major protest before/ during the game on Friday. Heard 2 things one was gonna be outside and another was, that people won't take their seat it about the tenth minute.

thats why the people at the top win but an empty stadium for 10/15mins live on tv shown around the world would be very embarrassing and like i said make the point.

What would everyone miss in the first 15 minutes if they hang outside the ground on Friday anyway, they'll still be on warm up while Vardy's having a party........
Like you say, it would make a statement on TV
If I had paid good hard earned for a ticket, 15 mins ain't gonna hurt is it.
Thoughts?

Now isn't the inclusion of a booking fee on every ticket you get ( regardless of what event) just a pure con! Went to see Matilda earlier in the year it was almost £30 booking fee per tickets! Never again will I pay that.

P.s there has been a new pressure group started today based on the problems we are having with board and stadium. They expect a demo against Chelsea and arsenal games.

David Moyes is 100 per cent sold on the London Stadium claiming it is “brilliant” and that nobody should be allowed “to tell you any different.”

The manager said: “I’ve been down a couple of times in the week and was there a year ago as manager of Sunderland. It’s a brilliant stadium and don’t let anybody tell you any different. It’s going to be the stadium we play in for the next 100 years.

Comments were spot on...
Read another fans comment on another site regarding "The fans & noise last night"

It felt like when youve had a row with your partner and youve both been sulking & no one wants to break the ice.one of you has to give the other one a hug to show you still love them.the fans did that last night.they saw a glimmer from the team & gave them a rousing, noisy hug to remind them they still love their club.
Reminds me of when we were 35000 friends rather than 60000 strangers.....
