Well just back from the match which I took my young nephew too and we are both stoked and chests puffed out over todays result. On the way to the game he was very excited whilst I of course like others had a bit of the nervous nellies about the game Don't worry Auntie we will win I smiled and thought yes well we shall see.Inside the stadium a lot of talk was about manures line up and everyone saying if we don't beat that lot we never will well five mins in west ham knocking the ball around the way we all dream of them doing and bang 1-0 felipe scores crowd going bonkers my nephew shouting from the top of his lungs everyone smiling and as the furore died down he turned to me and said Auntie I told you they were Rubbish so stop worrying all the men around me laughed patted him on the head and said yeah Auntie listen to the Lad he knows his stuff so after another nervous 35mins or so up pops yarma and bang big deflection 2-0 everyone going crazy happy days and once again my young Nephew had the crowd cracking up when he said See Auntie we don't have to worry only he does pointing to moanrino and said he's getting sacked tomorrow lol half time came and couple of the men next too us said they wanted to get him a drink as clearly he deserves one having called the game right from the start a big I told you so look on his face so a coke it was for him before we settled in for the second half and all that drama so of course the usual happened they got it back to 2-1 and the men around were saying here we go we are going to throw it away once again my nephew spoke out and shouted to them we have Arnie we will be alright and as if on Q bang 3-1 well that was it the Men lifted him up onto there shoulders shouting laughing singing he was the new special one lol he was having the time of his life final whistle went he was screaming yes yes yes and was so happy I had a few tears of joy running down my cheeks a special day and a special moment and memory for me and him.On the train back we saw a couple of dejected manure fans and my nephew said hey you lot were rubbish only for them both to say no we were not rubbish you were just too good today well done a perfect end to the day.
Nice story H.G...
A day you & the nephew will never forget, its what sets westham fans apart from most other clubs imo...cos for all the hard times we have to endure following our great club there are always special days like today!!remember taking my 2 to westham when they were very young & they never felt threatened by the really big crowd, just felt part of one big family & they loved going over there...
Hg it's stories like that
Hg it's stories like that that will end up making the Olympic stadium feel more like home

Bring on Brighton and the normal West Ham defeat after a decent win. After doing playing counter attacking football itl be interesting to see how we beat teams when we have to fully attack teams like Cardiff.
Interesting Red Neck. I don't
Interesting Red Neck. I don't think we played counter attack at all vs united. Completely controlled the game from start to finish. The way we're knocking the ball around atm is some of the best football ive ever seen us play.
Fred maybe the expression
Fred maybe the expression counter attacking flatters manure, certainly wasn't a traditional counter attack but what I mean is a team willing to have a go at us rather than sitting back saying come a beat us then. Then we will probably have to commit more men forward and maybe a different formation or tactic.
Agree Fred
Although only watching on the TV myself I thought we had control the entire match and if we had pushed a little more it could of been 4 or 5 instead of the 3 we got....felipe seems to be getting used to the prem now and the centre halfs were totally dominant...Lukaku had one header other than that our Nemesis was properly shackled
I'm not sure of the word
I'm not sure of the word dominant but I am damn sure of the comfortable. We were comfortable all game. Against Chelsea apart from the odd chance we looked comfortable too. I'm certainly impressed by diop and balbeuna ATM but let's be fair they are getting proper protection from the three in front of them. Did any one see that mooresque tackle from diop on lakaku I think it was. That was a wow moment for me.
Cracking tackle with Lukaku
Cracking tackle with Lukaku at full pace after beating 2 players. As Moaninho said, he’s a monster.
true but worrying
If the bigger clubs start taking notice a huge bid could be in the offing next summer.

Think it would have to be a huge offer, record for a defender for the club to even consider selling him.
Leicester stood firm on maguire
I'd like to think we would do the same but the big clubs and players agents keep chipping away that's how Liverpool got van dijk in the end.....still getting ahead of myself here one or two good games does not make you a top defender but I am certain he will be watched a bit more regular from now on
Mac we will have none of that
Mac we will have none of that doom and gloom on here thank you very much.
Yes, top draw tackle that red
Yes, top draw tackle that red mooresque indeed, moore would have been proud of that one.so glad lakaku didn't score that was the icing on the cake,i heard he's just checked himself in the nut house over not getting 12 in 12.
One Flew Over Lukaku's Nest ;)

It has been the best day i have had at Stratford so far,ive lost my voice, its starting to happen!!!!!!!COYI!!!!!
Its good to hear mate...
With the exciting football we are playing now it can only make the stadium better imo,the lack of atmosphere has been my biggest gripe about the place but if everyone shows a bit of passion like they have today it might just feel like home!!

Lovely tale too hear H.G.
Loved the bit on the train home where even a couple of manure fans could not defend what they saw and were honest enough to say it as it was.
