Pointless international breaks as usual so thought I'd throw it out there, songs that are good for the carpenters pub in stratford ( proper westham boozer!)...our good friend Essex boy gets in there before he jumps in the canal on matchdays!!lol
I enjoy it in there for a beer or 3 before entering the BoM....
Hurry up Harry,if the kids are united - Sham 69,london calling - The clash,The ruts - Babylon burning, that's for starters any other old school bangers you can think of are welcome....

Me being of a certain age, cant beat SYMARIP-SKINHEAD MOONSTOMP and SKINHEAD GIRL,just loved the music and the whole culture till the National Front and other right wingers took it all away, shame but the music and the originals keep it going

Funnily enough I knew Sham well, I even engineered and co-produced Pursey's second solo album, but I liked and knew the Clash better, Joe was a good friend, but Mick was a Pratt and Topper was Keith Moon incarnate! Always enlivens me to hear 'London's Calling' blasting out at the Bowl of Misery, despite it not being fit for purpose, there are plenty, including me, Ed Jnr and little ed who miss the the place under the lights against the arch enemy, despite over vorciferous stewards, expensive beer and hot dogs.

I was also the guitar player in gary numan's first band which was called Riot, and then the co-founder and guitar player/song writer of Mean Street.

When I was 14 I found punk music Nev. I was lost before then had no musical direction. But hearing The Sex Pistols and The Clash was like an epiphany for me. It shaped the rest of my life. Remember going to see The Clash at Brighton Top Rank. Joe Strummer stopped the gig as everyone was gobbing at him. He uttered the immortal line. I f you wanna gob, go home and gob on yer Grandma - For me it has to be Stay Free and Clampdown 2 Clash classics...........

LOL 65!!!!!,and yes allow me to take a bow............I remember, not that long ago,we took a spanking, and we have had many of them,i bypassed the canal, and made it to the Carpenters,to jump into the beer, only to find the boys jumping up and down to all the lip up fattys and moonstomping,it was rammed, and a few of us had to hold the table or we would of lost our drinks, and i shouted at them "what the fuck are you lot celebrating we have just got done good and proper" and the reply i got was,"come on mate we are West Ham arent we does it matter"............I had no answer to that after 50 years of the highs and lows, how right they were,so went and bought two more pints and dived in LOL!!!!!
