Perhaps we at the Org are getting old, but when Jack 'I can drive my Range Rooney Up Other People's exhausts' Grealish did a 'Salaesque' pirouette almost half a second after having been tackled in order to 'earn' his team a free kick from which they eventually scored, opinions about Villa's star man varied from preening ballerina to a lot worse.

Billy Bonds and others must look upon these modern day players will astonishment, there is no doubt that many of them are very talented, but the issue is that they are rewarded so well, at a young age, that they seem to lose all perspective. It is only human nature, if someone continuously tells another that they are special, the recipient of the praise will eventually believe it whole heartedly, and such is the case with Grealish and many others, his petulant 'chirping' to the referee during last night's victory over Villa was nauseating to say the least.

Apparently Big Mich Antonio was of the same opinion and made quite a determined effort at communicating that point to the perpetrator as well as to the match officials, in fact so incensed was the Hammers forward that his manager, David Moyes, took him off at half time! Yes the reason was also tactical, but Moyes knows his players well, and was of the opinion that Grealish, or one of his pals who's Lottery Winning life style is epitomised by their belief that they are above 'lesser mortals', would get Antonio sent off, and you know what? They probably would have!

Dean Smith, Villa's manager, is old school, however he does develop myopia when referring to his own team, inwardly he must cringe at some of his players' antics, but of course publicly he has to back them. Interestingly in his post match presser, Smith said how pleased he was that the team he manages came to the London Stadium and "should have won" to him that was THE achievement, not the result.

Having been the recipients of some appalling V.A.R decisions ever since it's introduction, Hammers were finally given the rub of the green in the dying minutes, and all the preening, posing, poncing and filibustering attempts by Villa to overturn the decision came to nothing, which is exactly what Jack and his pals left with, if you can't play football like a man, don't pretend you can! - Ed

PS: To criticise Declan Rice is taboo as we know, however he might want to reconsider some of his public praise for Grealish, who quite frankly is not worthy of his praise, Harry Kane, despite playing for Tottenham, does deserve Rice's praise, Grealish NOT.

We maybe old school but if grealish is the example set for kids of today then the game is doomed,if i was his manager id make him watch re- takes of the big match revisited!!

All this bitching and moaning about VAR from the muppets from the 2nd City is really annoying me. They have got a bl--dy short memory and need to be reminded of the perfectly good goal scored against them by Sheffield United after the shut down last season where the whole ball crossed the goal line and yet Hawkeye didnt work. That night they got a point they didn't deserve and would have had the same points as Bournemouth but a worse goal difference of one... they should be playing in the chumps league!! Why is this never mentioned?

Well said, 'Little Ed' was banging on about it as well, he also developed a distinct dislike for Haircut 100, not the band, more the head band. Bournemouth should have stayed up instead of Aston Ballet!

Well said all above.Grealish really does think he is something else,i would say he is not a very nice person to be around either, unless you have the same opinion as him,of being super human,i wouldnt wish any harm on anyone, but people like him need a short sharp shock in there life,to bring them down to earth, and realise he cant walk on water, and not everything goes his way, money plays a big part in this along with the constant praise,i hope he gets the book thrown at him driving like a tosser,as the rest of us would...and yes 65 he needs to watch The Big Match Revisited,i never miss it,great days

Like many growing up playing for your local side boys/amateur etc your coach would look at his biggest defender identify a danger and simply say "let 'im know yer there" ! The defender would duly oblige and as in the days of 60's, 70's and 80's professional football once clogged then the playmaker would release the ball almost as soon as he got it, that says everything about Grealish who was captured more than once smiling after he went down at the merest challenge. Caught on the heel (just) jumps before falling to the ground clutching his knee? Lanzini was rightly banned for simulation (though 3 matches was OTT) in retrospect and I think the club should take that to the FA... this nonsense has to stop.

Im hopeful the rest of the premiership teams and fans will soon cop on about this bunch ,look at when the penalty was awarded for what ever reason one of them wandering around in the vicinity of the ref with blood pouring out of his boat despite being called to the line for treatment and even the ref himself pointing to the line ,he was obviously trying it on ," jesus look at me ,the bastards tried to goose me ", their nothing but a bunch of cheats .
Also im livid with sky ,their very anti west ham ,that bollox Gallagher bullys his way to getting his point across, it really annoys me how he was aloud to keep his job after gobbing in someones face .

After reading HYS on beeb page the rounding of Grealish due to his antics has ruffled quite a few fans feathers from across the spectrum (no surprise that fans of Wolves, Brum City and WBA despise the little scrote) !

Its a shame with all this amazing technology that in this day and age that there is not a board for simulation if StevieWonder was on it he would have seen Grealish clutching the wrong leg. Diving is spoiling our game and its encouraging players to fall over like they have just been shot at point-blank range and it's getting to the stage where it is too dangerous to tackle a player in the box - it's about time that if proven by the remarkable camera shots and angles of camera that the players should then be banned if proven, for 3 matches and hopefully be fined by their club and stamp out this cancer that is ruining our beautiful game- and while they are at it review the handball and the offside rule at the moment the fans do not know whether to celebrate or go and get a cup of tea while they are waiting for the VAR result- (2and a half minutes it took last night) And may I say that Jack Screamish is not the only cheat in the premiership, there's Salah and Zaha to contend with as well and if something ain't done there will be a few more names before the end of the season and the points gained or lost could make the difference of being relegated winning the league its not a game of football when its being spoilt like this. I enjoyed the game much more 3 seasons ago than I do now. Still I suppose they think this is progress I certainly disagree. But I'll take the3 points and 5th in the league

We all know nothing will happen over that little twat Grealish diving. How can anyone BE such a twat. He's worth millions so why should he care? Listened also to Carragher mouthing off after the game, who gives a shit what he thinks. Just to clarify, We won, Villa lost and we go 5th. Nice to see the Olympic Champion Diver on the losing side.

the tackles he would have got from bondsy and frank lamps senior back in the good old days when tackling was aloud and what about stevie mac from liverpool he'd soon put a stop to his show boating blo.....dy cheat

Villa won all their away matches prior to their London Stadium loss. That to me is an achievement for the Hammers to do what the likes of Liverpool failed miserably when they got thumped 2-7 at home by The Villains. So bear that in mind if you want to be critical of West Ham's style of play. Not the best on the eye but all of us were praying for the final whistle after that Bowen Goal was scored. The panel on DAZN actually praised West Ham's resilience in the post match discussion.
