Those bastions of sports coverage integrity, the Express and the Sunday Express, have an uncanny knack of acting like a reportage echo. Someone prints something and then the article, with a bit of editing, magically re-appears, and it is in the case regarding Chelsea's Tammy Abraham.

Five days ago we ran a feature about Tammy, partly based on the fact that this writer knew him personally, and as such was able to provide an insight as to the player's suitability for West Ham, he ticks all the right boxes, the only fly in the ointment being the massive fee attached to signing him permanently.

Clearly out of favour with with Thomas Tuchel, a loan move away from Stamford Bridge for Abraham would suit all parties, the need for a 'proper' number nine is paramount for the Irons, and the England International, who has scored 12 goals across all competitions this season, looks a perfect fit.

Chelsea would probably prefer to do a straight 'cash' deal for the 23 year old, but with 'money too tight to mention' domestically, and virtually non existent abroad, particularly in France due to the collapse of the Bein sports TV deal that has left many clubs teetering on the verge of bankruptcy.

David Moyes has as much as confirmed his intentions with regards to Tammy Abraham, he wants him, but knows he can't afford him, that is unless Chelsea decide to 'protect' the value of their assets in a similar way as Manchester United did with Jesse Lingard.

For those who question the wisdom of signing a 'Chelsea reject', we would ask this question, "who would you rather have at the London Stadium, Abraham or Arnautovic?" Both players will be available on loan, we know which one we would prefer, although we are slightly biased. - Ed

Remember there are 2 Arnies. Well 3 if you count his brother! The one who was shizzle at best for Stoke. Or the one who came good for the Irons and then jeffed off again. Either way, I don't think I want any of them.

Father Abraham and assorted other Smurfs would be most welcome though.....
