This transfer story is not going away and i worry that Moyes is so determined and focused on getting this deal done that it is to the detriment of any other transfers we may or may not be doing.....for me it is a simple question Lingard knows we want him this is the contract we have for you......all we need is a yes or no as to if that is good enough should he want to leave manure and then its a question of the fee...if we let this drag on and don't get a deal done and we are into the end of July etc then will we have signed anyone else or are we just going to sit and wait and hope then go after others? No one player is bigger than the club and unless we have firm evidence that yes he will sign then it is time for Moyes to look elsewhere as to the now rumoured Lingard wants a massive hike in wages if he is going to grace us with his presence next season.

Do not get tunnel vision Moyes there are other players out there so instead of being an observer at the Euros get this move happening or move on to other targets do not let the club be held to ransom.

he either wants to come or not so stop beating around the bush and find out. If he comes then great if not go for the bloke from West brom but stop shuffling your feet waiting.

We even need Lingard. Got Lanzini, Fornals and Benrahma all fighting for that spot and truth be told a big f**k off centre forward is needed right now more than a big Jesse.

For £22million yup you read that right £22million now thats good business and come our first home game of the season we will see a player that supposedly Moyes wanted but clearly we cannot afford.

Every story i read about clubs looking at this player making bids of this amount that amount every time we get linked its followed by the fact we are skint and have to watch the pennies and honestly i am getting sick of it,Now i do not want the club to advertise what we have to spend but the constant reminder we barely have a pot to you no what in really makes me angry the negative vibes it gives off to fans can hit morale.

IMO Jesse was one of the best players ever to wear the claret and blue. Big statement I know, but I can honestly say this guy was a game changer and when in years to come we look back on season 20/21 with all the issues of "closed stadium", Covid and a top six finish I think the difference made by this man will be truly remembered.

Looks unlikely he will join us, we were a nice stepping stone to get his career back on track, it will be difficult at Man U to secure a start but will get a hell of contract and I think better prospects of a few gongs. I say to a Manchester boy "thanks for the memories Jesse and good luck".

For us, we need to shop in the lower reaches and will find the next Jesse Ellis Lingard... In Moyes we trust!!!! Keep the faith and bring on Reading!!!
