For the team to put in the effort Fulham did against Liverpool yesterday they played wonderfully well against one of the favourites for the league. We need to match that effort 100% today and be on the front foot at home especially.

Manchester City have so many top class players it will be a difficult match but i believe we can get something from it if we stand up to the chalenge and not sit back if we do that we will be in trouble. So i hope Mr Moyes has a plan that differs from so many last season which was to sit back regardless of the opposition and hit on the break.

So come on West Ham give the full house something to be proud of you always have our backing so put on a show.

Don’t know why but I really think West Ham are going to struggle this season, pre season hasn’t been great, transfer window hasn’t been great either and anyone that does eventually come in is going to take time to get up to speed. I guess it’s a good time to play Man City this early but they’ll need to work hard and offer something going forward, hopefully Antonio can do something other than fall about and lose the ball, apologies for sounding negative but when the manager is making noises about needing players in and saying people don’t realise the size of the job he has I don’t think that’s a good sign or good for team morale.

I don't have a great feeling about this season either, we have also lost quite a few players, love em or loathe them it was still a barebones squad and we STILL have a bare bones squad. Moyes transfer hunts for more and more defenders and midfielders smacks of battening down the hatches and setting up for another season of avoiding defeat rather than taking teams on. If I'm honest, I actually expect Moyes to go and Warburton to take over at some point, especially if Fat Frank falls on his sword.

As expected really, all you could say was it was a good workout I guess, Haaland has certainly added something extra to City though.

6 times in 8 seasons we've played one of the top 4-6 opening game of the season and lost, pitifully in most cases. The other two games were a win and loss against Newcastle! The fact we've come off our best two seasons with a squad as bare as ever really does put any hopes of a quality season to bed even after game 1.

As fans we all see it so why can the management not?Moyes bleats on about how hard it is to compete at the top end of the transfer market well you dont its simple i certainly dont ask for us to be going after players like Nunez/Raphina etc for one it does not make us look ambitious it makes us look silly and as a long suffering fan seeing is believing.....Potter at Brighton sold his two top players last season and yet they were not treading water they played manure off the park in the first half and toughed it out in the second and were any of there players in the superstar bracket? of course not they are very good professionals who are coached brilliantly by a manager and staff who go about there business in a proefessional manner....Moyes has to stop thinking elite bracket for us he has to start thinking sensibly and you can improve a helluva lot you dont need big named superstars you need players who want to play for you and are more than capable of holding there own in a rarified atmosphere.
