Brasil A Go Go!

You know how it is when you sign Brazilian players, you sign one and then suddenly your clu bbecomes linked with just about every other player in the continent who has a pulse! Such is the case at West Ham where fresh after the official announcement of the signing of Luis Guilherme the club is actively working on the signing of not one, but TWO more Brazilians so get ready to Samba!

To continue with the 'South American' flavour Hammers are deep into negotiations for Udinese's Argentine full back Nehuen Perez. The highly rated 23 year old has just made his first full start for the Argentine National team and is already coveted by many teams, but as is obvious, if you snooze you lose in today's transfer market and Hammers head of recruitment Tim Steidten or 'Scnell Steidty' likes to get things done quickly, having shown due diligence of course!

Yet more South American targets are in Schnell's crosshairs, attacker Matias Soule is up for grabs from Juventus, the 21 year old Argentine attacker will allegedly not be sold for anything less than £33.7 Million (€40 Million) this summer, however Juve are actually prepared to let the player go for far less than that.

Jota Silva, the 24 year old Portuguese winger from Vitoria de Guimaraes is also said to be in talks with the Irons over a €20 Million move, so there could well be a distincive smattering of Portugese being spoken in the dressing room next season!

Steidten and the club have obviously recognised that despite potential pitfalls South America represents an opportunity for rich pickings, especially those who have adapted to European football.

Isn't it refreshing to see West Ham on the front foot when it comes to transfers?, and if that front foot phylosophy is also applied to the type of football being played then it will be happy days for supporters as well! - Ed

Emery wants him gone from Villa and Chelski trying to sign but cannot guarantee a starting spot which is what he wants and whilst no player should be guaranteed that he has more chance with us.
Colombian already a prem player albeit a bit part appearances but a striker i think we should be having a serious look at

I have no problem with steinden and lopi going south american as long as they don't turn out with the same situation we have with Paqueta.I know nothing is proven as yet but it does hold a big dark cloud over the club it's like having the sword of damocles hanging over your head not knowing which way it will fall.If convicted the club suffers financially yet again another wasted 50 million into the ether if cleared great we keep him for a bit longer and he would have something to prove and become even better.Let's face it we haven't been lucky with south americans in the past Tevez etc and got severely punished through that fiasco.I just have a feeling he is going to get convicted i hope i'm wrong but the FA seem to dislike West Ham and somehow i can see Man city getting away scot free which would be an injustice?

I'm not gonna give this kid a kicking. But at 18 if he is that good. Why haven't the likes of Real Madrid or big European giants got him before us? Bellingham a prime example. Odergaard signed at 16 by Real Madrid.

I've seen his footage, bang average and one footed, sorry Sportsfans but I don't get this one. I prepare to be proven wrong though...

Give him a chance please not even kicked a ball yet and apparently he is bang average? let us see him in the flesh and remember you can splash all the cash you like on a "Name" and he can be rubbish and now you hear Chelski doing all that they can to offload Sterling and are offering him to us! really this is a deal we need to steer clear of.
i understand the moyes era scarred a lot of fans with football-if you could call it that-that was woeful but come on now lets give the new regime a chance and believe that the people we have employed the chance to prove that they know what they are doing regarding player scouting.

bubble girl lets give the whole team a new start and get behind them from the off i do not expect miracles this season just good football and a descent defence that doesn't leak goals in the first ten minutes of a game.. up the hammers

Just been listening to Tim Vickery. He who knows all things South American football. Must say. This signing seems like a massive punt. The kid has barely played. Is potential what we need at the moment? Especially when we are on a budget. Seems that this deal smacks desperation in the face that Tim was not coming back empty handed.

Exactly Enfield, that was the point I was making. On a tight budget signing a young 18 year old kid. Who could struggle with the physicality of the Premier League totally unproven. Does not look like a wise choice at the second!!

same age and part of the world nowhere near the physical specimen this Lad is and he somehow manages.
If we did not sign this lad and thought no keep Cornet people will be saying we lack ambition same old West Ham and so on.
This is a bit like trying to get my Grandad to try garlic bread he was having none of it then he had some by mistake and he could not believe how good it was and now he gives anything a go.
So as mentioned before i'd rather see how this lad goes along than an ageing Sterling whose best days have passed.

My point being that some think his age and size may not be good enough to thrive in the Premier League and i do not believe that and whilst Lanzini had a tough first season with us and many said he looked to lightweight well thank goodness there voice was not listened to.
