Weird line up. He launches the Torpedo but puts out has bean full backs. Glad Ings gets a start. You'd better deliver El Loppo. Otherwise, El Twatos it is!!

I agree Met,it wont be long before we are down the league, this isnt working, and all this we put on a good show business is bollocks, the opposing teams are scoring for us,we cant score.Another season, and yet another cup we have bombed out of very early on.

Their first was offside and we should have had a penalty, so a couple of bad calls. Alvarez? Well it's not really a surprise is it. And did anyone expect anything at Anfield?

5.1 and its a decent showing? Why shouldn't we expect results at places like anfield? Are we now not in same league?

It's a bit sad if it's got to a point where losing 5.1 to another prem side is 'decent'

Your right VAR,we should expect alot more, where i sit in the ground they all getting high and exited on a good pass and a decent flick here and there, not good enough, its not going to win games, the team is all over the place with this bloke, hes worse than Moyes, and if you were all honest about it,you would say the same, get rid now, before we hit the bottom three, because its coming,Moyes had his faults, but this is so garbage so early on for all to see.

did any of us think we stood a chance to win at anfield just a pathetic result. gonna take at least 10 games to sort this team out

I'm guna say this ,I think it's time the refs went under the microscope ,and it's not the biased referring tonight or on Sunday,
(and the subsequent financial incentives that Oliver was handed ) but I think it's only the tip of the iceberg, the finances in the game now days are just to enormous and the allegations have got be investigated otherwise it will become the norm ,and the powers that be will only make bigger ejits of themselves as with the so called " investigations" into Man shity ,what a joke .

Did not watch the game. Caught a few bits. There first was definitely off in the build up. VAR would have dealt with that. Think ref got the penalty decision right for Coufal cross. 2 goals in 90th plus minute makes it look a lot worse. Plus they was scored against 10 men.
How did Todibo & Soler do?

Saw the result just now cannot say it is a surprise...Fabianski made a difference then! Alvarez lol i am surprised it took this many games for his first red of the season.

And did a bit of research comparing the exact same result last season to this one. both 1-5 defeats. One of the big issues with Moyes was how he set hi stall out and stats bear testimony to this. We had more shots on target last night (3) than Moyes team had shots in total (2) in the whole game. Taking into account some dubious refereeing decisions as well which Moyes cannot complain about and we can see a difference. Absolutely no comparison between the two managers and in my opinion, we gave it a go last night. 12 shots compared to last seasons 2 and that's with spending the last twenty minutes with only 10 men
Now don't get me wrong guys, I'm not banging the Lopetegui drum. He wasn't my choice any more than you lot (Thomas Franks was mine) but what the hell? We are slating someone after playing teams like City, Chelsea (who also put 5 past us last season) and Liverpool, not to mention a pretty decent Villa team so not really an easy opening for what is tantamount to a whole new team. I said we'd see our general direction by Xmas time and I'm standing by that. But calling him the Spanish Moyes. Do me a favour.
As for the sarcastic Fabianski comment above, yeah, Fabs DID make a difference. He needs to start the next game.

PS Edited to add:- Emerson apart, Moyes fielded a first choice XI last season.
