What have we got that is good?

In the words of the Flight Director in the film Apollo 13 when all looked lost "What have we got that is good?"

Well... not a lot!

Squad : Old, still small and too slow for the modern game... some exceptions of course. On paper we have some decent players and many were content with the new signings but J Lo is unable to fine tune and balance. We look in the direction of Chavski, their new young manager (who previously worked at the BoM) has pretty much the same squad as the last numbskull but is now getting a tune out of the exact same players who are starting to show their potential.

Captain : Jerrod is a legend but having the arm band isn't working for me. We have no obvious leader, no obvious Mr West Ham anymore. We miss Nobes but I think the real loss is Dec. Yes, we got over £100M for the lad but he was the engine, the heart beat, the talisman that we lack so dearly.

Stadium: I was a big fan and tried constantly on this site to spell out the virtues of the BoM but the fact remains its an athletic stadium, no longer shiny and new and starting to look tired and what it was originally intended... Temporary! Ginger on TalkSHITE is right, its the worst stadium in the Prem. Just looking around the capital (not to mention even Everton) we see other clubs with purpose built and in many cases New state of the art arena fit for purpose. Stamford Bridge is still pathetic but even that has plans!

The Manager : Looks like a rabbit in the headlights. He's clearly not up to the difficult task, this guy was never anyone's first choice, in fact there were demonstrations / social media unrest not just in Milan about the appointment of this guy but closer to home. We all know the reason why Sullivan brought him in........available and cheap. Well, that worked well Dave! The season is already over for me, no chance of a top 7 finish so another season without European football which personally I loved. Give the job to Nobes and Kean for the rest of the season until the right guy is available.

The Board : Not fit for purpose. Brady and Sullivan are obnoxious and toxic but my real displeasure is for Kretinski. He was never going to be a knight in shining armour, only interest was and is to see a marked return on his investment. This will still come once the BoM is in the hands of the club and the stock value rises dramatically. He will then sell and be Offski! The treatment of fans over the Concessions sums up these clowns. Start a war with your fan base (or customers as we are known) for the sake of just an extra £800K revenue, which in the scheme of things is nothing, isn't just cruel its lousy business!

So, what have we got that is good? Very simple... The Fans, Us... You and me!!!

Manager not fit for purpose, stadium not fit for purpose and all boils down to one man and his style, cheap and available Sullivan. Why the f*** is this man not selling our club? i'd rather be in the conference than continue with this snake oil salesman as our owner. We're heading in one direction now, over the edge (pun intended)

Totally agree, club going nowhere with that taff in charge! He wont sell until the club own the BoM and the stock price then hit a billion.. watch this space!

Is a good use as an analogy. I'd hardly call Pochettino a numbskull either. This man took over a floundering club under Potter (funnily enough, a preferred West Ham choice by some orgers), sinking like a torpedoed submarine under a stand in Frank Lampard and took them to within 5 points of a Champions League spot but still got them into a Euro place. I'd have him at West Ham in a heartbeat. So really their manager has taken over a team already on the way up.
Agree with the rest of your comments, but not Nobes or Keen.

Well i'd say look at Brighton new manager only 31, No prem experience in fact nowhere near the experience of Loppy and yet look where they are in the league. Potter went they got De-Zerbi in who? they said yet he got them European football and playing even better under him than Potter then De Zerbi goes they now have Fabian Hürzeler and they are flying while we are like driftwood in the river just aimlessly taken away by the current.

Size matters they say(i am not that shallow boys!) super 60thousand+ stadium help us compete with the big boys they say well currently those big boys of Brighton/Fulham/Brentford/Bournemouth/Forest/Leicester are all currently above us and that is down to one man our wonderful owner Sullivan who may well be a shrewd businessman but as the owner of our club he sucks and like a lot of you boys who may have fun playing Football manager games on the computer we have an owner who does it in real life only very badly.

The club has no structure running through it and as long as that man and his cohorts at his side at the club are there then we are doomed to fail.

And i am not a Potter fan and hearing the shit about Southgate today you just hold your head in your hands and think that no real thought is put into who can manage our club....... it is just old ways of doing things ahh he managed England he must be good....look at that mans record in league football ffs so no he is not the answer...Deludeds idea of Lampard would not be good because the fans still see him as a knob who bad mouthed us every time he had the chance so he would be hamstrung from the start and again not a stellar record in management...so who is out there....well with this board do not expect them to take a chance and try something new but again when you look at the Brighton model you have to see that Bloom clearly does his research and rarely gets it wrong on managers or players.....we should of been brave like them and got Will Still in....not enough experience they say well look at Brighton they seem to be doing well with an inexperienced manager.

Absolutely no way was I suggesting Frank Lampard. I mentioned that they sank like a torpedoed submarine whilst he was at the helm

10 men couldn't carry, couldn't carry Lampard (clint). No fork lift trucks required here.

Oi big boy, what's your name?

Don't understand how Sullivan has made money? Typical of Dave. He took the cheap option with Loppy. Now he will have to sack him. Pay him up.Then employ someone else. Costing him twice his original outlay.

Barring dressing room fallout I see no reason for a hasty boot job. I doubt very much that even Pep couldn't turn a club around in two months and how long did it take Alex Ferguson to set the ball rolling at Man Utd. Even he had talk about being sacked at the start of his tenure.
We all think we know better and play at being a manager but I might add, I'm bottom of the table in my Fantasy Football Leagues, how are you doing?

This guy is making serious selection mistakes and setting up the team with little or no structure.. Pep wouldn’t make such mistakes.

Simply put most agree we have a good squad and this guy is not getting a tune out of them. That says poor man management, lack of strategy etc says he’s struggling

Look at the Spuds Nuno Espírito Santo employed in June 2021 sacked in November 2021 as he was clearly not up for that job...Villa realising keeping Gerarrrrrrrrrrrrd would do more harm than good look at them now...... and i think football should really be like any other job of work if you are given a role and are clearly not competent enough for the task you have to make a decision for the good of the club/company you work for.... we all make mistakes when taking on a new employee but Sullivan just is a very poor judge in what is needed from a manager and he has to stop listening to Salthouse and listen to people who know more about it than his fav go to man.

And now if the gossip is true Loppy is demanding a new striker in January lol you have to wonder is he setting himself up to walk like he did at Wolves as clearly it was a key position we all new needed filling and the player we got has buggered off back to Germany to get himself sorted says a lot about our medical team doesn't it he must have had a call from Cornet!

He is doing very well but back then if he had stayed at the Spuds they would of gone down...wrong man for that job and Levy soon realised that....So if they can see that why is it such a big deal if we do that? if the board back him and come January we are worryingly hanging around the bottom three will it do us any good to sack the manager then tell the new man forget about the F.A. Cup just keep us in the prem no matter what...what will that achieve ahh yes keep the owner happy the big bucks still rolling in don't worry we can sell our main men get cheaper options in blame it on ffp then hope and pray we can stay midtable and put the earplugs in so we don't hear the fans. Sadly i expect like others that this is the more likely scenario instead of acting now and not writing a season off again.
