Thursday evening's opponents Lyon were pushed all the way by ten man West Ham, indeed the home side were able to go one nil up thanks to a lovely Jarrod Bowen goal, scored AFTER Aaron Cresswell had been sent off. The visitors drew level via a goal scored by an on loan Tottingham player, but the pass was provided by Tete, signed as a result of the Ukraine conflict.
Hammers attempts at signing players under the same ruling were vetoed by the Premier League, then to cap it all off, the game was refereed by a 'convicted match rigger'! It would be very easy to add two plus two and get five in this situation, however in this instance there is much more than a whiff of conspiracy.
Football's elite don't like new comers, a stance high lighted by the new extra two Champions League ruling based on club's previous successes, it's jobs for the boys but in football! Insider trading at its worst summed up by a passive acceptance of the crap UEFA and FIFA churn out to extend their financial grip, it is shameful.
Nothing will change unless clubs take a stand, but will they? Definitely NOT the supposed 'top six', but then again, aren't Hammers top six contenders? - Ed
