The 6'5'' Dane has attracted interest from both Everton and Southampton, and at 25 years of age is in his prime. Vestergaard appeared 34 times across all competitions scoring three goals in the process for Monchengladbach, but was unable to get in to the Danish national team at the FIFA World Cup in Russia.
