Morgan Amalfitano looks as if he will be the first of several West Ham United players to be sent out on loan now the 'emergency' transfer window is open. During the window, players may be loaned from the Barclays Premier League to lower league clubs for up to three months. Championship team Ipswich Town have expressed an interest in taking Amalfitano, who has fallen out massively with Hammers manager Slaven Billic and has been banished to train away from the first team.

Any Hammers fan who was at the Boleyn the evening Slaven Billic was presented to the crowd before the FC Lusitans Euro Championship game, will tell you the atmosphere was electric and that the fans 'took' to their new manager in a way they could never have with Sam Allardyce. Billic looks right and sounds right, and away from home his teams perform a bit more than right! Any incoming manager needs the crowd behind him, and Billic has that, he also needed the co-owners to back him in the transfer market, and to all intents and purposes they have done that and more some.

Many Hammers fans were voicing their discontent at the club's lack of ambition in the transfer market, but the two Davids and madam K have done the business, so a fair amount of humble pie should be on the menu tonight! Alex song, Carl Jenkinson and Victor moses are all only loanees, but Michail Antonio is a full on four year signing and will bring pace and power to Billic's side. Some may be underwhelmed by the addition of Jelavic from Hull as a striker option, but realistically he has been signed on a two year deal as back up to the much injured Andy Carroll.
