After a series of protracted medicals and complex loan negotiations, despite being injured, Alex Song has returned to the Boleyn from parent club FC Barcelona, the midfielder's arrival uses up one of the loan berths available to West Ham United under the transfer system, Carl Jenkinson has already been signed on loan from Arsenal for another season. Hot on Song's heels is the impending arrival of another loanee ,Victor Moses, from Chelsea who is apparently under going a medical this morning with a view to joining Slaven's away day wonders.

Being based in South West/ West London, we are privy to at least a couple of old pals at the Bush, and according to a very reliable source Hammers have made a speculative £12 Million bid for Charlie Austin, with Matt Jarvis acting as a £4 Million make weight (which would represent a £6 Million loss), bringing the transaction to £16 Million valuation, thus triggering the pre requisite figure that QPR had set on any transfer.

What Is It With Hammers And Expensive Wingers? Could This One Work?

West Ham have apparently agreed a deal to take winger Michail Antonio, who is currently undergoing a medical, from Nottingham Forest, for a fee believed to be around £6 Million, but with add ons that could push the eventual price up to an eye watering £8 Million, for a Championship player! The last time West Ham United forked out a similar sum for a Championship player was to buy winger Matt Jarvis from Wolves, which has not turned out to have been the best of deals by anyone's imagination.
