Well I am not sure how many of you feel on here about the news that broke today about david moyes being caught off cam apparently saying to Vicki sparks that even though she was a woman she may get a slap and had better watch out before returning to the stadium of light. Her crime? was to ask a question saying did he feel under more pressure because the chairman was in the stands watching the game(aganst burnley). this has taken a while to get into the news why? the bbc MOTD new about it but have not acted and it has only come to light because someone filmed what happened on there phone.
now moyes has come out and apologised and she has accepted and that's probably because if she did not then finding work as a sports reporter may be hard to come by.
Being a woman this has clearly annoyed me and reminds me of the behaviour of keys and gray...mr moyes is meant to be professional but his remarks clearly show a man who to my mind needs to be sacked yes I feel that strongly as men you may not but what would you do if that had been your wife/gf being spoken to in to a woman would seem a menacing way.you may not see it as threatening but to a woman who clearly cannot match a man physically it is very intimidating.i wait now to see if the F.A. do something about this but I am not sure I can hold my breath for that long

Worth comparing with the infamous "don't blush baby" incident between Chris Gayle and Mel McLaughlin. In Gayle's case it was a come-on, in Moyes' case its a threat, but in either case the remark is completely sexist. They wouldn't be so disrespectful to a male interviewer, and that's the point.

David Moyes is seeing his name dragged through the mud after his threats were given widespread publicity and deservedly so. I don't see this as sexism, a threat of violence is more serious than prejudiced language and cannot be regarded as a 'joke'. The fact that he can threaten a woman with violence in a public event that is being recorded by national and international sports journalists leads me to worry about what happens in his family home, behind closed doors.
It also leads me to wonder how many other stressed out participants in our national game go home and commit acts of domestic violence when result don't go their way. It is now up to Sunderland Football Club to decide whether he is a fit and proper person to manage their club. I think the FA should insist he undergoes a course of anger management as a minimum condition for demonstrating his fitness to continue his employment as a professional football manager.

It was not a nice thing to say but it wasnt sexist and hardly aggressive. If it had been a male journalist i think it would have probably been very aggressive with a few explitives as well. Not saying he should behave like he did but no need to make a big song and dance about it.
