Just seen Carlton Cole has joined Celtic... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34603027 Always been a tryer with a good attitude and love for the club despite a low goals scoring record. I have always liked his character

You see this is where a site like this comes into its own , how many times has it been said "great club man ,tried his heart out ,always gave 100%" and them coments may be true while 1 or 2 of the coments may be dubious, the fact remains he was sadly lacking in the skills dept , in fact i would go a step further , he fukin didn't have any skill hence his horrible goal scoring record , i wish the man every success in his new venture ,and i hope hes a instant hit in what must be without a shadow of dought thee worst football league in the universe

Burkie 1

Not quite sure what your point is Burkie but all the same - his tenure at the club may not have been the brightest but like a bad relationship, you experienced something. They may not have been the shining moments you will remember in years to come but they still made you are what you are today and now its onwards and upwards to better things!

remember the pass to Defoe against Spurs back in 2009, but I hope for his sake he gets his chance to shine.

It was a beauty Alby. Split the CB's so perfectly, I reckon if you measured the distance from each one to the ball it would have been exactly the same. It was a peach of a pass. And well finished by Judas Jr

I always think about his 1 on 1 with the keeper when he got called up to England squad against Spain and he just turned the ball wid of the post... could of been a real turning point for him if it went in

Let's please be honest, he didn't work hard for the Team as he could hardly run properly for the past 3 seasons! His goal scoring record was shite but, we liked him because he took a pay cut and we loved the song and the t-shirt. Nice bloke but a poor player in so many ways in my opinion.
