Don't know if there is any truth to this article, but I think it would still leave fans divided .I was sure up until recently Allardyce would remain in charge but I sense now he will be replaced.Moyes is a safe bet, it has to be said,I don't think anybody would question that, and certainly an improvement on Allardyce, but not one who ticks all the boxes for me,I was hoping for someone better.Do you think being realistic, this is the best Westham can attract? I think we would all love to see a Bielsa,Klopp or Benitez, take the reins but cannot see it happening.

Will he be an improvement on sam,the jury is out imo.I would like a more high profile manager the likes that you have mentioned.Or even someone homegrown, sherringham & macdonald possibly-it will never happen i know! But moyes im not so sure....

but cannot see that one happening. Moyes would be a safe bet and would up the tempo of the team, and install a bit more creativity, without making wholesale changes to the squad. He has worked very well with Henry @ Everton, so surely this is the long term plan. Henry is currently sorting a deal for Obiang, who will be Song's younger replacement. Moyes is on his way !!

Kipperty Klopp is going first to look at options at City, then Liverpool and then us... but I do think hes nailed on for the Prem and will be a great character in the same vain as jose etc

if Sam is to stay surely they will have to offer him at least a 2 year contract. I cannot see him signing up for just 1 year? Rumours in Spain is that Moyes will be let go according to a Spanish Reporter I heard on radio.

I hope so.He did well at Everton on a small budget and got them into Europe also brought through young players.

I have mixed feelings about this as I don't see it as a progressive decision. Aren't they similar in approach? If so why change though I don't want Allardyce there any more either. Benitez for me would be a better option if finance permits.

someone younger, someone that could be more adventurous. As you say Dicks boring but safe, not what we need.

Did you see the banner flying over Anfield yesterday ? If Liverpool don't want Rodgers I would gladly take him.

Agree Jozi,I think Rodgers would be a great choice if he was available. His teams play good football ,a major factor that has to be considered in any appointment as well as tactical ability, which Allardyce is lacking in both.More of the same would be the worst case scenario ,Moyes would be an improvement ,but their are similarities, and I think his appointment would show the Westham fans a lack of ambition considering the OS move.It is a great stadium with potential for huge fan base increase, surely it deserves a top manager to deliver the football. If Westham had super rich owners I don't think attracting a top manager would be a big an issue, but the fact a new manager would be restricted to a limited budget it will be less appealing. But you never know Klopp may look at the likes of Man Cty ,Liverpool as too big a pressure to deliver silverware and the likes of Westham may present a challenge he would prefer.A club that is on the up,and what could potentially be a sleeping giant.

i think Rodgers made some monumental cock-ups , letting one of the best footballers in the world leave for Spain and replacing him with with that heap of shite tagliatelle, if he came to us he would give Carlton the captaincy and an extra 10 g a week

Because for me, Moyes is not a progressive step. HIs last managerial stint in the EPL was a disaster. As DITM says, this would be a boring, safe choice -- but we've got boring and safe already. Why make such a change now? If we want to be challenging for a top 6 spot within the next couple of years, we need to be thinking outside the box. I have hated this season with Sam, but I can't really imagine it being more exciting under David Moyes.

Could well be a ploy!Put the rumours about that moyes is coming, that might just sway the sam haters that its better the devil you know!I think saturdays performance did sam a favour as well!If we had of lost or drawn the tempo for sam out would have been a crescendo! Now all you have to do is start amal & nene & we might just start warming to you sam!!(then again maybe not!!);)

More Chinese whispers. But if true I honestly can't see what the board see in Moyes. In what way is he superior to Sam? Plays very much the same style of football, good defensively, but poor in attack. Not adventurous at all, certainly would be as contemptuous as Sam of 'The West Ham Way" though he might be more cautious in saying so. I know many of us get almost to the point of 'anyone BUT Sam' but think Moyes would not be an upgrade.

I think this week Sam is safe. We're up to 9th, we've got our highest points tally since we came back up and we had a ridiculous number of shots in one game. A massive improement on the dross served up this time last season. In efect Sam has done what was asked of him. Progress. It's minimal progress but still a tiny step forward. All hail Sam!!

personally i think sugo will stick with bfs as they and brady probably think he is a safe bet to keep us in the epl with the move into the new stadium not far away, though that said id like someone who will play attacking football and not shut up shop every time we play away from home but I just can't see it happening at this moment in time..

Maybe Moyes will go to Newcastle if they stay up. Closer to Scotland for him.

If you talk to some of the Everton fans they like what he did without much funding. An old work colleague of mine a devout Evertonian said although similar to Allardyce the football was better and he does like bringing the youngsters in if they are good enough. A long standing rumour that Moyes will replace Allardyce and one I will be happy with, mainly because Moyes plays to win not to draw!!! and his teams improve as the season goes on not fade as our last two have!

A D Bonds

and when he told me what he had heard, I grimaced at the rumour and he was very quick to point out all that Moyes had done with little budget. He said that his pals would rather he came back to Everton as they would accept him back in a flash.
