Just read that Bielsa is still a chance

So I was just thinking, I wonder if he has the drawing power to bring in decent players. Apparently he is rated pretty high in France which I know is not the Premier League but the other top managers rate him. If he does get the job would the 2Davids have the balls to put in a cheeky bid for Ibrohimovich or however you spell it. I see on another site that PSG only have 10 million on him so you never know.

i dont think all the speculation is justified , a couple of points , the two Dave s are very sucsefull buisness men , they must have known the situation re Sam ages ago surlly they would have a clue who they wanted and wouldn't just leave it till the last minuet the deal must have been done long before now , what a carry on , can you imagine the situation 1st choice = " do you want the job, no,

2nd choice, do YOU want the job ,nope ,
3rd choice , do you want the fukin job , are you havin a laugh ?
,4th choice please , PLEASE take the bleedin job
and so on , hardly credible

It will be interesting if we ever find out whether the rumour that Benitez was all set to come here until Real Madrid came calling was true or not.

I certainly think they would have had an idea who was on their short list, but remember they would be in trouble if they had tried to tap somebody up while Sam was still in the job.

I would guess they would have to wait until the season was over, contact those they were interested in, and then interview which of those actually were interested. Only then could they sensibly offer the job to their favourite. The idea that mere days after Sam had left we would be announcing our new manager was wishful thinking, and not really very practical.

i believe Sam new the script months ago , if your goin to give your manager a new contract you do it early rather than later

but unfortunately yet again West Ham fail with choices 1-3 and end up with option 4! I could sell the club's potential to managers and players far better then the current lot, just look at the record! When are we going to advance and attract top players and managers?
