Forums:
I haven't posted on here for some years now, but with all the chatter going on about this, here's what I think.
A manager who can "win ugly" and grind out results is the only way to go. Forget the myth of "entertaining" football or weaving pretty patterns all over the field.
Sacking the manager is easy, the difficult part is appointing the right replacement, which to me is NOT Di Canio, Bilic, Parker etc.
I personally would never have appointed Espirito Santo, Potter or Lopetegui as all were for various reasons,"damaged goods".
Gary O'Neill is a possibility, as is Carrick, but I'd now be having a chat with Allardyce on a contract to the end of the season with an option for another year should we go down, as if that were to happen he'd get us back up.
That's my view, and as unpopular as it may be, feel free to fill your boots and c**t me off for it, but I'll back my judgement 100%.

I said in the match thread
I said in the match thread yesterday. That something did not seem right after the final whistle with Nuno. It was as though he had been sacked at half time. He looked completely shell shocked to me. Never made one in game second half substitution. He looked even more fed up and uninterested than he usually does. His post match apologetic, pathetic, lifeless interview said it all.
To not even try and chase the game, or blood our new signing up front seemed bizarre to me. All this is not the Manager it's the board. Yes, to a great extent this is true. But Nuno himself is not the man to try and take us out of the relegation zone. He does not have the passion, the brand of cautious football is not what we need.
I'm convinced he is gone already, but whatever plan for succession is not yet rubber stamped. I fully expect a change before the Forest game. God forbid we lose the game or draw it then straight after the game.
Who comes in? I haven o idea. But we will not be publicly seen to just accept our fate without a fight...
Just my view on a cold Sunday night..
Well Ironworker,no doubt you
Well Ironworker,no doubt you have read my posts, with my views on what we need to do now,and Carrick was in there also,so you mentioning Alladyce i dont knock that at all,as he is the sort that knows what he is doing in these situations,Nuno hasnt got it.
No, I've not read anything on
No, I've not read anything on here for a few years now, possibly 3 years.
But glad that there is somewhere out there with a realistic view.
BTW all of you, Hughsie ak Lenuse, is back to normal and is back out there running the sessions.
welcome back Iron Worker
A manager who can "win ugly" and grind out results is NOT the only way for me. I cant see that, I know it is adopted by many clubs purely for the sake of survival. I dont see why you cant have both. Just thinking back to the last season at UP the footie was brilliant.
Sacking the manager IS easy but its the only very blunt instrument any board can use... Its lockdown for Covid :o) The board should never get involved with day to day football matters, thats the job of the Manager, his backroom team and a Director of Football for sound recruitment and overseeing academy etc etc
The appointments by Sullivan etc are appalling. Its never done in a strategic manner, its always a firefighting exercise looking in panic for a cheap available option. You need to head hunt the ideal candidate, as the old saying goes "Good people aren't looking for a job"
If it were me, as previously said, I would put in for the remainder of the season Psycho and Chicken. I certainly wouldn't waste a transfer window on this muppet.
Hope thats C***y enough for you? LOL.... ;o)
