On this day 23 years ago, Remembering Our Captain of WEST HAM & ENGLAND & now HEAVEN ELEVEN who sadly passed away,GOD BLESS YA SIR XXX

At the weekend Jeff Dylan, a Swansea Hammer, tragically committed suicide in a hotel in Budapest, Hungary. Much loved by family and friends, Jeff was at Wembley for the play off final. I have tried to upload a photo of him with friends in a pub before the game but have not been able to do so.

Unfortunately, Jeff did not have travel insurance and his family are struggling to raise the money to bring him home. If you can donate any amount to bring our Hammer home please go to. https://www.gofundme.com/anqhnw7v

COYI!

Many thanks for your generosity.

For a couple of seasons now we've had to take the "best to be safe than sorry approach". We now have a manager who is loved by the fans, and who the fans love back. A captain who is a fan, who loves this team, and the team and fans love him back. A star who only works and would be appreciated at West Ham, who the fans love and he knows it. The best and most entertaining football, with a never die attitude that I haven't seen, since I can't remember. If we'd have had a fit Sakho, Lanzini, Payet and Lanzini all season we'd have won this league. I feel something about West Ham, I haven't felt since 86. I hope it doesn't end in ultimate failure like then, and I pray that I get to go to Wembley with my kids and watch us win an FA Cup. Well done SUGO there were doubters but you knew as fans what we wanted in our last emotional year at the old girl, and you have delivered. COYIs!

On this form theres nothing in our way

Looking forward to a cracking match and with 7,500 hammers there's bound to be a great atmosphere. Apparently Lawro will be present so lets send him home with a song and a flea in his ear.

David gold has confirmed that we have asked for the capacity of the OS to be increased to 60 thousand because of demand which is fantastic news if your not a taxpayer in London!.
season ticket demand has outstripped what is available and a huge waiting list now has to be addressed seeing as those who will miss out will have paid £10 for the privilege to do so and asking for the extra capacity seems a nice way to try and show that they are working on this....of course Ms Brady earlier in the week had said that the capacity really could not be improved because of sightlines for the fans as in distance from the pitch but in a hard nosed business world I find that hardly likely to of even been considered then the obstacle of more toilets and concession stands are required if capacity was increased mmmm what happened to those then when the Olympics were on? have we ripped them out in a refurb?....anyway all this is supposedly being considered but I wonder if they have actually considered the non season ticket holder? those of us who because of work or maybe on a small income can only afford 2 maybe 3 matches a season who are as passionate as any west ham fan but circumstance prevents them buying a season ticket even at the low prices....I admire the way the club have marketed the move and the fact that many tickets given to local schools/projects etc to encourage a new groundswell of support for the club is indeed a fantastic move but with so few regular matchday tickets being available many will be disappointed next season and that will be hard to take for life long supporters so I hope that if the capacity is increased make some of it available to the supporters who cannot regularly attend matches and not just to season ticket holders..COYI

Happy Birthday to England legend Jimmy Greaves who is 76 today.....

Remembering his debut goal in the mud for the hammers against City ....also Boycie volley from the halfway line...

Why i wouldnt play our jewel in the crown tomorrow, Blackburn have nothing else to play for ,their certainly out of the promotion race and like all the clubs in the lower league s they look on these type of matches as their last stand ,they will certainly have done their homework ,even more so than us and they know that Payet is fast approaching the best player in thel prem status, and make no mistake they will target him ,not saying they will set out to injure him (god forbid ) but they will give him special attention and you cant blame them ,so confuse them Slav, leave him on the bench

Q1. Former hammer Brian Deane will go down in premiership history, why?

Q2. Name all west hams shirt sponsors, and which were the first?
(Who on earth were some of them!)

Q3. What is west hams highest ever attendance?

Q4. Which former hammer starred in an advert whilst a school boy?

Q5. In a 442 formation name a hammers team that no player had played more than 10 games for us.

Q6. What do Callum davenport and Trevor Morley have in common whilst playing for West Ham?

It was a short battle.
Ironic as he was tall.
