Not Lingard, but the Leeds United manager Jesse Marsch, as another one bites the dust from David Moyes and Rob Newman's list of potenial signings. Leeds have agreed a deal to sign defender Rasmus Kristensen from Red Bull Salzburg for an undisclosed fee. The 24-year-old right-back has agreed a five-year deal and will join the club on 1 July.
The Denmark international has six caps, Kristensen made 44 appearances for Salzburg last season, scoring 10 goals as they won a league and cup double. The transfer is subject to the usual international clearance and work permit requirements.
Kristensen links up again with boss Jesse Marsch, who previously managed him at the Austrian club which obviously gave Leeds the edge in the transfer, but Hammers fans will be increasingly worried that it seems EVERY other club is able to conclude their business with minimum of fuss, as opposed the smoke and mirrors associated with the bulk of West Ham's transfer activities. - LN
