Not that they have not been but like i mentioned few weeks back and what we all new would happen Antonio injured we struggle....Bowen does not have his physical presence and has to be kept wide IMO Haller well is there not a more frustrating player in our squad he just does not want to make the runs and so we cannot get an outlet to relieve the pressure....i want to give him a chance to prove himself but next weekend against the bindippers i'd rather stick Yarma upfront at least he runs and trys and plays for Ukraine upfront at times, despite his mare of show today but we all have seen worse in claret and blue!.....so i hope Moyes and co have a plan B or is that B going to be Benrahama or otherwise our good form could go to pot....COYI

Last season/ This season

Submitted by Enfieldhammer on Sat, 24/10/2020 - 13:07

Comparing results this season to last season we would be stuck on Nil points if we performed the same in the same fixtures last season. The 2 games we lost we also lost last season. Though we should have got something against Arsenal this season. As I'm writing this we are 1 up on City another game we trounced last season! It's going to be a strange league this season.

Wenger Helped Wilshere Secure Irons Deal

Arsene Wenger gave Wilshere his Arsenal debut in 2008, and remains a useful source of advice, the pair spoke about his West Ham situation and will probably do so again before the midfielder decides on his new club. Ah that's nice, Jack's mentor is helping him out, but why exactly?

Jack Wilshere gave a sympathy interview to the BBC in which he stated how 'let down' he felt by West Ham United, the club he has supported all his life. The following text is indicative of just how deluded the former England striker has become, it also shows that 'Arsene' colluded with Jack to fleece the Irons for as much as he could ahead of the separation.
"I spoke to Arsene when we were negotiating everything with West Ham and he was helpful. When the time is right, as and when I have some options, where they are and what would be best for me, he would probably be the one I would call, yes. I have been fully fit for a while but without games you don't get up to speed or get the minutes you need. In a year's time, I would like to have 20-25 games behind me at a new club and be looking forward to the future. I feel I have much more to give. I just want to be given the opportunity to show it."

Didn't Wenger do enough damage flogging Freddie Ljungberg to the club? He has never liked West Ham since his bust up with Alan Pardew back in the day, and it seems he wants to 'put the boot in' at every opportunity, perhaps he might suggest Jack joins Arsenal's medical team, after all he has had enough experience in the treatment room!

Badmouthing your former team when you have just fleeced them for nigh on £15 Million is not only disrespectful, it shows a case of extreme narcissism and complete lack of style. - Ed

Mesut 'Over The Hill' Ozil To Irons Joke!

nevillenixon's picture
Submitted by nevillenixon on Fri, 23/10/2020 - 09:06

Dear Old Carlton Cole, he of the famous 'smokin' head' post match interview, seems to have been smoking something else if his collaboration with Talk Sport is to be believed. The Hammers stalwart is quoted as saying why Ozil would be a good acquisition "West Ham have always liked those kind of players, those magician-like players. Arsenal would have benefited from having him in their squad, but he clearly doesn’t fit in at the moment.”

Bless him, Carlton obviously seems to think that the club needs another highly paid Arsenal cast off, having finally 'offed' Jack Wilshere at enormous cost, a player who somewhat bizarrely claimed to have been fit 'more often than not' during his two and a half tenure with the Irons. Like Wilshere, Ozil claims to have been fit and available to play but found himself not even included in the match day squads selected by his manager.

Some would say the reason for neither of them being selected is simple, contrary to their claims, both picked up repeated injuries that meant their managers could not rely on their long term availability and consequently elected to work with players who weren't injury prone, is it just a co-incidence that both have been highly paid for NOT playing?

The problem for any manager that inherits an expensively assembled squad on big wages, is that they have little 'wiggle room', either they play the 'expensive ones' just because of how much they cost, or select the players they think will do the job for them irrespective of their transfer cost or value.

David Moyes has shown that he is his own man in this respect, and accordingly 'luxury items' like Felipe Anderson have been despatched freeing them from the wage bill, quite why Arsenal didn't do the same with Ozil is baffling, but one thing that is for sure is that there is not a snow ball in hell's chance of Ozil turning up at the London Stadium, unless Arsenal are prepared to pay every penny of his wages and even then who would he replace?

David Sullivan has only just got out of intensive care from having to pay off 85% of Jack Wilshere's remaining outrageously generous £100,000 per week wages, his occupation of the medical facilities possibly being the reason for the over run of Said Benrahma's medical!

No, Mezut Ozil is the sort of signing 'dear old West Ham United' would have 'snapped up' in years gone by, but finally the club is moving in the right way on the pitch, and for that trajectory to continue, the last thing that is required is a 'past it has been' on massive wages! - Ed

If only the F.A.'s across Europe had the balls

mcbikeman's picture

So project big picture did not work for the bindippers and Manure so now the threat of a European super league involving the so called "Elite" of European football in a closed shop.

Go ahead i say but understand you are no longer part of your countries domestic leagues which will continue fine without you and the champions league and euro cup will continue just have better fan orientated clubs with better atmosphere.

The only losers will be the Fans of these so called Elite clubs who do not want such a thing but owners just don't care and seem to think they will be the only show in town and make a lot of money(all they care about)through tv rights and initially they may but it will soon dry up once the competition becomes stale and repetitive whilst the domestic leagues will thrive.

Football is not about the so called Elite it is about every club because to the fans of every single club in Europe and across the world your club is what matters and so what if Real Madrid are playing Manure on a tuesday night in the all singing and dancing European closed shop league i'm going out to watch my own team because they matter to me not some money grabbing greedy billionaire owners team who seem to think they no what we want when it comes to football.

So i hope U.E.F.A have the balls to say you can do that but we will still have our euro comps you feel you have grown out of and every F.A. across the continent get together and as i stated earlier tell these clubs once you go there is no coming back.

Moyes' Selection Dilema Ahead Of City

nevillenixon's picture
Submitted by nevillenixon on Wed, 21/10/2020 - 11:19

On what must be one of the rare occassions in a long managerial career, Hammers' boss David Moyes has an unusual dilema to resolve, namely how to keep everyone happy in a squad from which only 18 players can be involved on match days. Of course his squad is perilously short of numbers in certain areas, but he is able to select an incredibly impressive bench to support the starting eleven, and as all Hammers fans know, if there is an injury to be had, usually long term, then West Ham will be the most likely destination!

Sending Felipe Anderson off to Porto FC for the season has released 'space' in the team, because whether he admits it or not, David Moyes has felt obligated to at least try and get the best out of one or two of the expensive 'luxury' players he inherited from his free spending predecessor Manuel Pellegrini. Loaning Anderson out has relieved Moyes from that particular headache, leaving only Sebastien Haller and Pablo Fornals to sort out, and to that purpose Moyes' faith in the latter has been repaid handsomly despite Fornals' propensity to miss absolute sitters!

Fornals' 'duracell bunny' end to end displays have endeared himself to the no nonsense style that Moyes likes, his promotion to the starting line up has coincided with Hammers recent superb run of results, finding a solution to Haller's situation may be a little more difficult. Moyes knows Haller needs the type of service new signing Said Benrahma can provide, but he also needs a commodity that is in much shorter supply, namely time.

The Barclays Premier League is such an unforgiving environment to learn your trade in, which is why a fine specimen of a man like Haller, who towers over most due to his 6'3" frame, is unable to keep his feet and is constantly 'bullied' by defenders, he needs to learn how to cope, problem is there is no time. two wins and a draw see Hammers occupying 9th spot in the league, but a few defeats will see the club back in the mire of last season, consequently Moyes cannot currently risk playing Haller for more than the Cameo role that he has carried out in the last few games prior to picking up an injury just before the now famous 'back from the brink' draw with Tottenham.

If Moyes cannot get Haller's mojo working he may elect to loan him out in order for him to get game time, the reason we mention loan is that no club representatives would envisage buying Haller for even half of the whopping £45 Million Hammers stumped up for his services. If Haller does have a chance to prove himself, possibly in France or Spain where the football s just a little bit less frenetic then maybe he will start to resmble the player he once was when he was at Eintrecht Franfurt.

There are a lot of players who's contracts are up for review or renewal within the next nine months, and it is they who want to impress Moyes, the problem they have is that Moyes, quite rightly has adopted the 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' approach and for now it seems to be working. There will be players who feel disillusioned but realistically the only way a player is going to get a sniff at the first team is by being a substitute or by replacing players who are injured or suspended, not a bad problem for Moyes to have given some of the other issues he has had to cope with in the past. - Ed

The perfect transfer heist and having to get come to terms ,The Cons have no intention of selling up!

Submitted by Farehamhammer on Tue, 20/10/2020 - 18:01

I have been one of the Cons longest and most vocal critics from day one .But even I had a wry smile on me, at the sheer brazenness of the perfect transfer heist of Said Benhrama .It was alongside Ronnie Biggs's great train robbery of1963 and the Hatton Gardens Heist, by the a group of ageing lags as far as heists are concerned .The whole summer, Benhrama, had been linked with a whole host of Clubs .One of my closest mates ,Aaron Poole,a huge Aston Villa supporter, was absolutely desperate for Villa to sign Benhrama ."We've got the money mate, and 'Deano' (Dean Smith) was his manager at Brentford" he championed.

A while back I had been on twitter, and said out of all the utter BOLLOCKS and lies leaked to the media, about 'closing in ' on this player or that player. There is always ONE player the Cons really fancy, and go all out to sign. I said Benhrama was that player .I thought they would fund it by player sales ,Sullivan hates paying players anything near a £100 000 per week. With the constant bile published on the Pravada ,regards Moyes wanting to get rid of "the fancy dan foreigners" .And daily pops at Felipe Anderson in particular, as well as Manuel Lanzini. It was clear who the Cons wanted off the wage bill.

It was crystal clear that if we could not get rid of at least one player, no one was coming in. When Anderson went out on loan instead of being sold. My first reaction was that we would not be signing anyone on a permanent basis, but we would sign a centre back on loan. But then the media got played by the Cons. West Ham had agreed a deal with Brentford to sign Said Benhrama. And were discussing personal terms with Benhrama tomorrow. Fareham was unmoved. Not happening was my reaction. Next day the frenzied media ,said that personal terms had been agreed with Benhrama. However ,the first indication that Sullivan did not want to cough up the dough happened that afternoon.

Sullivan ,got onto the blower and handed out a 'exclusive' to his mate Darren Lewis of The Mirror ."Benhrama deal close to COLLAPSE "said Lewis .Explaining that Benhrama had been owed a £2.5 million 'loyalty' bonus by Brentford .So Benhrama gave the 100 Brentford staff £2.5 million ?ABSOLUTE BOLLOCKS .In days gone by The Cons would of got away with it, and simply walked away from the deal. West Ham fans would of said "We don't need greedy players like Benhrama ". But after 10 years of lies and more lies .West Ham fans know all their 'party tricks', as a result a furore broke out amongst the fan base .By the end of the evening, we got told that The Club was confident the deal would go through. With everything settled there was excitement as Benhrama was going to do his medical.

Fareham was STILL not convinced. I remarked that the Cons would probably make sure, that Benhrama would fail his medical. Benhrama passed the first part of his medical we were told .How anyone can fail a West Ham is beyond me !After all Jack Wilshere ,Andy Carroll and Kieron Dyer passed theirs !Two days for a medical ?Christ on a bike !Javier Hernandez landed in the country at 2pm and was unveiled at 8 that evening .Something was not right I said to myself. But the Board lackeys said, Benhrama would be presented as a West Ham player the next morning.

Next morning fans waited and waited but no Benhrama . My Aston Villa mate was wild with excitement !Villa had HIJACKED the deal he said .Entirely possible was my reply .Then it happened ,Darren Lewis, said the deal was OFF !As Benhrama failed his medical !Which was ABSOLUTE BOLLOCKS. Footage later emerged on the internet of Taggart(Moyes) coming up to Benhrama and says :"How are you ??Did you pass?( medical)"A smiling Benhrama said "Yes "Taggart replies :"Good !Good !"Taggart kept the pressure on the Cons at his pre match press conference :"No the player had not failed his medical and we are hoping the deal still goes through "said Moyes .With Benhrama already having done the media interviews, had the strip on, and his Mum being with him at the training ground. There was no way in hell Benhrama was not going to sign for West Ham
.Which he duly happened at 6:56 PM

Much has been said about the Cons behavior, towards Brentford , in concluding the deal .Look Brentford's Director Of Football ,Phil Giles, had his pants pulled down by the Cons. Yes, The Cons basically shop lifted a highly gifted player and Brentford's crown jewel, and walked out !But let us not be naïve here .Both Clubs had been working on this deal for a couple of weeks, mainly working on the structure of the deal .Seems like the last two days Brentford demanded more cash up front .West Ham said no and as a result they attempted to up the price .The next thing we heard was that, Benhrama, had a issue with his blood tests.

As Brentford found out, you can't out con the Cons! Leaving them with no option but to accept the deal ,the Cons always wanted .We are giving you five million and we will pay you the rest in a years time !Just after Benhrama signed ,Aaron phoned me and was FURIOUS that we had "Stolen Benhrama "My reply tongue in cheek was :"With all your dough surely your owner could of bought Benhrama ?Or has he run out of money ?"His reply was unprintable :).Some you win ,some you lose .The transfer window as a whole ?It could of been far worse believe you me .

So when are we getting rid of the Cons ? And all these takeover bids ?Absolute bollocks !All these takeover 'bids' are nothing but 'phantom bids', leaked on their behalf by their lackeys. They don't plan to go anywhere .The bulk of Sullivan's dough is tied up in Real Estate. Which post Cov -19 is in big big trouble. The porn industry is for free now on the internet .People no longer visit Sullivan's sex shops, and pay two quid for his cubicle and the rest is history .So are West Ham doomed, should they stay ?No we are not doomed .Look I never wanted them and still don't, but one must look at the facts regarding The Club. Even if we lose to Man City and Liverpool ,even the most hard hearted amongst us, can see Taggart and his very experienced Coaching staff are attempting to build something special.

We have a group of players, who both like and respect Moyes and his staff. There is pride in wearing The Claret and Blue again, as was all too obvious against Spurs .A tremendous team spirit exist amongst the lads .We have some really talented players. When someone like Graeme Souness says :"West Ham could easy be top 6-8 "Then you know the Club is heading in the right direction .Apart from Dawson ,Moyes has made crystal clear to the Cons, that he only wants players at The Club who will improve the Club. Long may it continue !You can only progress as a football Club if there is stability .Things are far from perfect, but it is time to show a bit of patience towards Moyes and his backroom staff .So that they can complete a full overhaul of the Club, from top to bottom. Optimistic Fareham ?I like what I have been seeing so far .The future is bright, the future is Claret and Blue! We are more than a football Club ,we're a way of life !COYI!!!!
