After yesterday's late, late goal by spuds, I got to thinking they should implement the same system as Rugby Union and Rugby League where the ref whistles and signals time off and then back on.
It's there for all to see and none of this 5 minutes when in fact it's only 4 minutes and 25 seconds. (as an example)
45 minutes on the clock to kick off each half, then it winds down and only stops on the cue of the ref.
As in rugby the siren sounds at the end of the half / game.
Simples really.
What do you think?
Just wrote that on another
Just wrote that on another thread! lol So yes I agree. Or even have another official (it's not like the PL can't afford it!!) to take care of time matters entirely.
there's an awful lot football
there's an awful lot football could learn from rugby rules , hunting down the ref like a pack of hounds for one thing

Yes like a citing commissioner to look into dives after the game
Too late for that match but never too late for a healthy fine for player and twice as healthy fine for the club he plays for, dives for sorry.
Yes Yes Yes
But too sensible for FA to implement.
