Modibo Maiga's spurious departure from West Ham to Al Nasser has at least helped balance the books. Hammers will save £3 Million in wages alone, while the player and his new club will face FIFA sanctions if Maiga plays before his ITC comes through. West Ham are in a particularly strong situation and will milk the law that says a contracted player cannot move from one club to another without agreement of all parties concerned.
Maiga's cheeky departure will have only exacerbated the need to bring in at least two more strikers before tuesday's transfer dead line! - Ed

Was never good enough for the PL, just a shame we didn't bring him in on a year's loan first, as seems to be our favoured system now. But as you say, his and Nolan's wages should shut Sullivan up using FFP as an excuse for a bit!
