There is boring and then there is VERY boring, well very boring is hardly enough to describe the long running 'will he or won't he?' Jesse Lingard to West Ham transfer saga. Fans and those associated with the club have become 'sick as a parrot' with the on off transfer which initially goes back to when the player returned to his parent club Manchester United following an incredibly successful loan spell that saw the midfelder called back into the full England Squad.

Hammers host arguably the best team in World club football managed by the probably the best manager in existence tomorrow in London with few people giving the home team a prayer against the imperious 'Citizens'. On paper that assumption is correct and it is very likely the Irons will lose their unbeaten status in the Premier League.

Hammers have until lunchtime today to confirm their full squad to the various footballing authorities, one name that will either be there or not will be that of Jesse Lingard. Konstantinos Mavropanos is a bit of a mouth full to pronounce and on tonight's showing for Greece he is a bit of a hand full for defenders! The towering centre back scored an Andy 'Carrollesque goal' out jumping the keeper and two defenders before crashing the ball in to the net for his country in their drubbing of Gibraltar in the Euro qualifiers. Stan also scored a more 'normal' header just before the end of the 2nd half to put Greece 4-0 up in what was a very one sided game of which the home side were eventual 5-0 winners.

Mohammed Kudus helped ensure Ghana progressed to the finals of the African Nations Cup with a scintillating free kick after his team had gone one nil down in a crucial qualifier against Central African Republic. Hammers £38 Million summer signing from Ajax will most likely miss six domestic games as Ghana are one of the favourites to to do well in the tournament.
