Well, the final countdown has begun, everyone who is anyone in media wants a piece of the Boleyn pie (and mash!), including our old pals at the Beeb. Although this message is meant for Orgers, it applies to anyone who lives and breathes West Ham. The Victoria Derbyshire TV programme would dearly like to speak via Skype, or in person at their central london studio, to anyone who attends tonight's match about the match itself but also about the impact of leaving the Boleyn, you know the type of thing, the hopes, the fears and the memories, stories from the past etc.

Today for many marks the end of a great romance, a love affair of history, comradeship, allegiance and pride, an affair of the heart and the mind, the mistress and the wife combined. After tonight the smell of the burgers, the mad traffic, the crowded pubs and off licences keen to oil the wheels of fans making their way to the Old Lady that is the Boleyn Ground, continuously and annoyingly referred to as Upton Park by lazy journalists and commentators, will be no more.

A house is merely bricks and mortar, it is the people who make it a home! as the old saying goes and we are moving shortly from our private residence to our private (yet shared) let. I was born on Feb 23rd 1960 just a few short years before we won our first FA Cup, dazzled Europe and supplied arguably the 3 most important Lions for the English national team to date. I was born in the old Forest Gate Hospital and was brought up in Plaistow in Dacre Road so in effect pretty damn near The Boleyn.

Normally when the number one goalkeeper is injured at a high profile Barclays Premier League football club there is much talk of defensive crisis, but West Ham United are extremely fortunate to have Ireland International keeper Darren Randolph to fill the void by the calf injury sustained by Adrian San Miguel that will rule him out for the rest of the season and more.

Terry Westley's U21 West Ham United side beat Hull City in the U21 Premier League Cup final following a tense return leg which saw a late late goal scored in normal time by the home side cancel out the slender 1-0 lead Hammers had held from the first leg at the Boleyn. This tight match was eventually resolved after extra time with a 3-5 penalty shoot out victory, with Raphael Spiegel performing wonders in the Hammers goal to deny Hull's hopes of winning the trophy.

Last games at the old lady Boleyn Stadium were supposed to be special events, 'the final countdown' as it were, but today's turgid entertainment that West Ham fans were asked to cough up £20-30 for was an acute embarrassment, this was gnome towers at it's absolute cringing worst!

This evening's crucial FA Cup quarter final replay between West Ham and Manchester United at the Boleyn Ground kicks off, courtesy of UEAFA, at the ludicrously early time of 19:00 Hrs or 7pm in old money! Quite how this match would 'interfere' with the evening's european fixtures is confusing, but should fans expect anything else from such a top heavy organisation. The bookies see the match fairly evenly, as confirmed in the Euro 2016 News that is available.

Westfield Stratford is much like a mirror image of Westfield in White City, except the Stratford one has the Hammers 'Reservation' take away outlet! Ray Winstone's distinctive voice booms out via the promotional video, an audio assault which the poor blighters who work there have had to endure many thousands of times, saying how we are going to 'ammer the opposition when they turn up at what has been cruelly dubbed as The Tax Payers Stadium.
