I don't seem to hear his name mentioned much. Yet was apparently previously On Liverpool's and Tottenham's shortlists. Highly experienced player, managed Ajax for several years. Speaks better English than most English people! Would anybody like him as our new manager?

My own thoughts are they have a manager ready to come in when Sam goe's,it's done and dusted. They won't make the mistake of o'neil again. But who ?.

Oh God I hope not! (Mcleish I mean) The consensus is they want a nice steady Brit, but I always thought they would want a big "name" for when we moved into the OS, somebody who could attract top players from abroad, I'm still hanging on to that hope!

Did you see the Martin Samuel article in the Mail? He quite rightly says that now is the time for West Ham to look up, and stop looking down. Don't know whether that was implied message to the chairmen to finally stop playing safe, stop worrying about just surviving in the premiership, and really go for it.
We pay the 13th (or whatever it is) highest wages to a manager in the football world, we are London based club with a huge fan base and worldwide interest and we are moving into the Olympic Stadium. The potential is massive. We should be able to have the pick of many top class managers.
If the chairmen play safe - and get a McLeish, Moyes, O'Neill or even a Glenn Hoddle - then I reckon we will see someone buying the club from SUGO and really pushing the club forward in another year's time.

Yeah I see his agent has said he's told Ajax he's staying, but agents aren't known for telling the truth, so if we made him an offer he can't refuse... who knows.

Haha yeah. I see Sam has likened himself to Harry Houdini now, interesting that he sees himself as an escape artiste and illusionist!

Frank de Boer's agent has, once again, told the press that Frank is staying at Ajax next season. Frank himself has said nothing... Maybe the agent is running a reverse trick play -- bit of gridiron terminology there! :-) -- leaving Frank to negotiate with other clubs..... Or maybe not.
