Promises Made Promises Broken

A while ago Little Ed and friends were looking for their names on the founders wall but couldn't find them, so he decided to look up where the names should be. Having moved from the Sir Trevor Brooking stand to the Bobby Moore stand it was necessary to dig out the old seat numbers, consequently he went through all the 'bumph' that was sent out ahead of the 'most successful' stadium transfer ever!
Promises were made and unfortunately virtually everyone of them were not upheld, nothing can be done about it now but it is amazing when you see ALL the documentation and the various 'amendments' that were rolled out over the last couple of years, Little Ed's opinion is that the club has gone backwards, and that is a bit too close to the truth.

The next generation of West Ham supporters shouldn't have to embrace a culture of suffering. My seven year old daughter got up at 2am to watch the Liverpool match. That discomfort pales in comparisons to the ignominy suffered by little Ed, but I still had to stop and think: where is the future for the new fans???

Ashes, that's what bothers me the most. What legacy these morons are leaving for my son. I can turn my back on them far easier than he can. Especially in my head.

And we always have the past to look back to, but what do they have to look FORWARD to?

That founders board / wall is a joke. What clown thought it was a good idea NOT to have it in alphabetical order? Took me sometime to find my name and my sons but still couldn't find my brothers name. One good thing did happen when searching at HT at the last game, bumped into an old pal I hadn't seen for 35 years also looking for his name on the wall... happy daz, plenty of reminiscing and drinking to be had!!!

Every one who purchased a season ticket in the inaugural year is supposed to have their name on the wall, the situation is very confusing though because it was also possible to pay extra and have your name on the floor outside the main entrance. We wasted hours on numerous occasions looking for ours before realising we were on the wall and not the floor!
