Sam Allardyce has left West Ham United.

Thanks for all you've done for us Sam and all the best for the future.

It will be interesting to see who replaces him. Would assume the club have someone coming in asap.

It cannot get worse than this. Sam had the benefit of investment, the spine of a good team, and for the last several weeks the benefit of playing QPR, Burnley, Leicester, Newcastle, Aston Villa ... Yet still he has managed nothing. And I mean that literally. Couldn't see the back of him fast enough. I'm even cupping my ear to hear his reply.

Sam has induced so much apathy in me I don't even recognise sarcasm any more. At least it should be more FUN next season. Let's hope there a good lift of spirits as the new manager sets out his stall, and the chairmen invest, and the last season at the Boleyn mentality kicks in. We just need one electric player to galvanise the squad (and it's not Kevin Nolan!)

Saw his interview after the match and no matter what we might think of him IT was very dignified, although he did more or less let it be known that he was dealing with Sullivan over the last year or so. Whether there is anything into that or not I don't know. I know we finished mid- table and with a little less stubbornness on the Manager's part we might have finished higher but at least we weren't in a relegation battle. Being a Hammers supporter for forty two years when the fixtures come out I always look to see who our last game is with and my thoughts this season were that I hoped we wouldn't be going to Newcastle looking for a point to avoid relegation. Is success then measured that it was the other way round !!!!

As far as a new manager Most if not all of those connected with us in the media would suit me :-) ..........anyone but Allardyce!

So Sam says he decided to leave, the board told him Friday so it was kind of mutual. If he decided to leave why all the effing cloak and dagger shite? Surely this proves that holding out until the end of the season is not clever? If Sam had just said, "yep I'm leaving, thanks but no thanks" the season although ending with a whimper wouldn't have seen the weeks of abuse hurled at him and allowed the owners to get on with the search. Hopefully they've done that and a new man starts soon as the last thing we need is to enter the transfer window wondering who the heck is telling Nolan he's cleaning boots from now on!

I think the truth is that Sam actually DIDN'T want to go, so he was just saving face. I also think SUGO were keeping the option of retaining him open for as long as possible, which was badly indecisive in my opinion, and didn't help our performances over the last weeks/months of the season.

Getting us up even though it took the play offs to get us there. I thank Sam for the first season back in the P L finishing 10th and I thank Sam for the first half of this season when we looked great but I can't thank him for last season and the second half of this season when we played like shit. His stubbornness shows that he could not be bothered to comply with the wishes of either the board or the fans and his blatant playing of Nolan shows that he did not give a shit. Bye Bye.
