£100million spent in the summer the team slowly gelling and getting better still work too be done on the defence and midfield and now we suddenly are in a full blown striker crisis...Arnie and Hernandez both want out Carroll/Perez clearly not good enough Silva too young to carry the burden on his own so just what are the club going to do?if Arnie is to get his Brothers wish and go to china the said money for his transfer will be made available for an immediate replacement if one of any worth can be found....thats all well and good but that also means come the summer we will need another two minimum and they do not come cheap and off course that will take money from other areas of the squad that need strengthening we will see a number of departures as well but not players that will bring in decent money so where will the board find the Cash? if we are too keep on moving forward....getting Carroll/Hernandez/Arnie off the books will of course free up the wages that can be offered but i do worry that the board will try and go back to there old ways of bargain buys and freebies.

the striker situation is and has always been our problem. The owners have tried to bring in cheaper options over the years and it has always failed and now we find that they have spent a little bit on Hernandez last season but the results haven't been that good. We need to get rid of Carroll, Hernandez, Perez and Arnie to free up enough money so we can buy a Maxi or Piatek or both but they are not cheap. Mind you if we could get around 60 or 70 million for them that would also free up about three hundred and fifty thousand in wages.
I realise that it would mean a possible mid table finish or a bit worse but it would give us a chance for a better start next season and still give Pelle a chance to work out what he needs at the back. We have enough midfielders for next season if we can keep them out of Andies recovery ward so if we could get things done and before the transfer window closes it would give us a chance to sort things out.

We have 8 good forwards in the squad. One in particular was out standing and now injured ... Yarmolenko!

Grady has potential and Perez needs a consistent run in the team.

Just heard and now read that Both chinese clubs that were in for Arnie have now pulled out of the deal as neither were willing to meet the £45million price tag..so that will now leave a sulking player crying over the money he could of had on the books....Will the Fans accept him back? will El Pel want him back near the squad? god only knows...putting this matter to one side i feel it is about time that the transfer window was only open for the summer and unless special circumstances arise then no more transfer activity can happen until the following summer....this IMO would stop agents tapping up clubs for there players and getting them moved on purely for financial gain and helps all clubs keep settled squads for the season it may also focus players minds a bit more before signing for clubs as to if they may actually get game time or are only bought so as to stop other clubs getting them.

I'm sick of hearing about footballers wanting transfers and throwing sulks when things don't go their own way... if you cant beat em join them! I'm on the packed train to work, soon as I get in I'm throwing two fingers up at the boss and pouring hot tea into my keyboard. Then after that, I'm not coming into work until I finally secure my dream move to California to work as the new managee if the playboy mansion. All the while I expect to be fully paid and none of my colleagues to get the hump.

If it could be absolutely guaranteed he would not get injured you'd hold onto him for something different. But let's face it, he'll stay fit til the end of the season, the board will think "finally a return on our investment, let's take the option on the 2 years", and just as Andy signs the deal, he'll fall off the chair and be out for a year!!

The rumour in Spain is that West Ham are close to signing Gomez. It could be a GBP 50 million deal. Maybe that will not happen if Arnie is now staying put!
