Is it just me or does Mark Noble look like a lost 8 year old . He seems to chase the ball from corner to corner with out ever getting near it
I said to my lad the other day, before his under 15,s game , don,t do a mark noble
He,s been a great servant but i think his time has gone
its hard
to knock a true west ham servant like noble but yes his career is slowing down more and more...he's a worker not blessed with outstanding talent but you cannot deny his willingness and effort but sadly it is not enough....after this season has finished we need to take a long hard look at the midfield and if the gooners really are not interested in Wilshire anymore then we have to try and get him he's a west ham fan he is a step up from what we have and definitely what the team needs....but time will tell on that front I guess
No worse then anyone else.
No worse then anyone else. Only player in our midfield who won a tackle or intercepted the ball yesterday.
Through gritted teeth I
Through gritted teeth I disagree. I think he's done mate. If at best you're right, that he's no worse than others, then that's not good enough for a captain's role. He needs to be leading by example. When he's playing badly or his head goes down, other weaker mentally players will follow
The issue I have is how can a
The issue I have is how can a team that did so well last season with him as captain go down the toilet. Why I think he definitely needs a few games out, we dont particularly do better without him and I think theres a fair few other issues at play here. One things for sure I don't think Slav will be here come next season.

My son said he thought marky
My son said he thought marky has 'had his day' while we were at the match, he looked clueless, I think more than any other hammers player noble has felt the loss of the boleyn and he really does look a small fish in a big pond!
He is past his best im afraid

His impact is worrying too.
His impact is worrying too. In the lead up to their first goal I was convinced it was Mark passing to DeBryne in the middle of the park as that was a Noble pass if ever I saw one. When I realised it was Cresswell then thought, If Mark's having this impact on the team, his time is up!
I thought he
was passed it a couple seasons ago, but last season he proved me wrong, excellent year. Now I think he is burnt out, weather he can come back after a rest, doubt it.
Bench player I 'm afraid
With the return of Kouyate I think he will be a bit part player from now on. For me the lineup for Southampton should be Randolph, Byram, Reid, Fonte, Cresswell, Snodgrass, Kouyate, Obiang, Lanzini, Carroll and Antonio. Let's hope things are turned around next game.
Peripatetic carthorse
He was carried last season on the crest of a wave. If he keeps Kouyate and Obiang out of the team there is something seriously amiss.
Not sure it's not fitness
This is cropping up more and more recently. Valencia & Zaza have both stated that the training at West Ham is not as intensive as elsewhere. Slaven has admitted that players are not exerting themselves properly in training too. We've got a larger pitch now. Noble should be fitter than before to be able to cope - but he's not. Nor is Cresswell. Both Noble & Cresswell look chunkier than last season. If this all down to fitness, it's criminal...!! (Isn't Mancini meant to be very strict about fitness to the point of obsession? Do you think the board know this?)
Anyway, I love Mark Noble, like we all do. But if we could get a Wilshire or Fabregas in the summer then he's unfortunately redundant.
Against the bottom 10 clubs
Against the bottom 10 clubs Mark Noble is alright and we all breath easily as he plays ok, the stray passes not causing too much trouble and his slow play acceptable as we have not lost many to these teams.
The top teams however have taken us to the cleaners nearly every time this season and poor Mark Noble looks like a fall guy up against the Harlem Globetrotters.
A good squad player imo but not good enough if we really do want to challenge for a top spot.
