Rangers Interested In Moyes

Having taken over from Steven Gerrard as Rangers manager a year ago, Giovanni van Bronckhorst enjoyed a remarkable run to the Europa League final which plastered over over the cracks of their domestic form. Europe got everybody excited and it didn't seem to matter too much that while they were beating Borussia Dortmund and Red Star Belgrade they were drawing with Aberdeen and Ross County. What was more important in the wider picture is they were dropping points against Celtic, Dundee United and Motherwell, results that were masked by victories over Braga, RB Leipzig and a place in the final of a European competition?

So Van Bronckhorst managed to take the Scottish club one stage further than David Moyes managed with West Ham by reaching the Europa League final which they eventually lost to Eintracht Franfurt, once Van Bronckhorst lost the comfort zone of European success he was in trouble as there was no pleasing distraction anymore and scrutiny was placed on the club's domestic form which meant he was a 'dead manager' walking.
Reports emanating from Ibrox are that there is a distinct interest in bringing Moyes to Rangers, the club cannot afford to pay out compensation to West Ham should Moyes be approached but if, and it is a bid IF Hammers have decided to part company with their manager then him moving to Ibrox could present a situation that suits all parties because West Ham wouldn't have to pay Moyes off and Rangers wouldn't have to pay ANY compensation.

This is of course heresay and there is also the elephant in the room, more of a mammoth, which is Moyes' past association with Rangers' bitter rivals Celtic. Things move quickly in football and the latest events surrounding Giovanni van Bronckhorst might bring about some seismic changes, 'phoney war Qatar break induced gossip' or a story with legs on it? We shall see, but it is not beyond comprehension. - Ed

Would be good for all parties concerned. Though as you say Nev. The Celtic factor is huge. But then who do we get? Lionel Scaloni might be available after Argentina's latest effort against Saudia Arabia lol

Roberto Martinez may become available if Canada manages to pull a Saudi on Belgium tomorrow. Would not rule this one out. LOL!!

Poch for me too! regardless of his N17 connection.Would he come? I reckon there's a possibility & I feel he would get the best out Scam,2 pints etc...I still say what's the point of keeping Moyes? Damage has been done, the didos will expect points on the board but we have very tough fixtures after the Woke cup!! Poch could have 6 weeks to get these players arses in gear

Allegedly interested in him too. God knows why. The more interesting question would be who would we replace Moyes with? Fans favourites choices Eddie Howe won't come now and Potter (England future manager elect) has been well and truly found out.

I agree with you mate and see where your coming from,im probably a bit too old school, and dont like the way managers get the push over the slightest thing these days.

I agree Essex, I hate the revolving door at most clubs but I feel Im in the minority as most folk have lost confidence in The Moyesosaurus :o(

and there lays the problem 65. You have to buy players that suit the manager not the board or more importantly the fans. I am thinking about the recent imports from Brazil etc.
