Woe There, Are Carroll, Payet and Kayoute All Really Injured?

News media sources are awash with doom and gloom stories relating to West Ham United, Andre Ayew's long term injury after playing a mere 35 minutes against Chelsea, in addition to Aaron Cresswell's long term injury sustained in a pre-season friendly have rather set the tone for the reporting. So recent rumours that Andy Carroll has picked up another injury and that Dimitri Payet has a 'slight knock' in addition to Cheik Kouyate being injured are par to the course, but are they true? We are always a little skeptical when the source is an anonymous 'insider', but given Hammers appalling track record of having major players injured it is rather an easy 'hit' for headlines!
The idea that Kouyate was made to travel to Romania, despite not being fit enough just to make up the numbers beggars belief, however there is genuine concern that the Europa Cup commitment is beginning to have a similar negative effect as that experienced by Everton, Liverpool and Tottenham in recent seasons while participating in the competition.
It is indeed unfortunate that Feghouli has picked up an injury because he added the pace missing from the soon to return to fitness Manuel Lanzini, West Ham are not the only club to be experiencing the type of wholesale injuries that seem to be part and parcel of the modern game... both Leicester City and Arsenal lost key players yesterday, it is to be hoped that Hammers can avoid adding to that list in the near future, but we doubt that all three players (Carroll, Payet and Kayoute) will miss the Barclays Premier League match against Bournemouth at the London Stadium. If Carroll does not make the match, it might encourage a slightly different style of pacey football, similar to the start of last season, that has been sadly missing this time round- Ed

a time when we don't suffer injuries to all our major players.....seriously this has to be looked at because something in the way we train or workout in gym is killing our players

But the players then were men, on a reasonable wage, unlike these overpaid pansies that play nowadays, but this lot are shrewd and complain they have a knock and can't play but they can sit on their arse and get 60,000 quid a week for doing so,
I can remember Bert Trautmann playing for Man City in a Cup Final at Wembley with a broken neck, can you see that happening again?
I think in todays game they do not wear enough protection for their feet, the current footwear is more like a ballet shoe than a football boot with no protection
